Just what I was after for a friend but would have liked the 22" Monitor option as with the C521 and inspiron deals listed recently? How come the Monitor option is fixed at 19"?

Im not 100 % clued up on these things, but this looks rather good. Other than stupid mispricing is it likely that there will be a deal *much* better than this in the near future. Yes yes i know that is hard to say for certain, but for example is the 4300 good ? will it last ? basic things running games video editing software etc.

blah blah i don't know what i am talking about really, i just want ssomeone to say yes dave buy it ;)

Dave - just buy it! There, you have permsission now!

Also would someone be able to tell me how easy it is to add bits and pieces, i was firstly looking at upgrading to the E6020 but that can be done at dell.

How about adding a graphics card, it is i assume a more standard size3 than the C521? which from reading on here was narrow and therefore required a smaller card = complications..

Decisions, decisions:? ... added it to my saved items and compared it with a dimension.

I tried to make them as close as possible Vostro worked out at £504.08 and Dimension at £709.70 But the dimension had these extras: 22inch black wide flat pannel monitor; dolby digital 7.1 capability sound card (vostro sound blaster advanced hd software); 256 nvidia geforce 8600gts graphics card (vostro had intel graphics media accelerator x3100). Dimension had 500GB(free upgrade) hard disk in promotion, while vostro was extra because it came with the 250GB free upgrade to 320GB upgrade.

Someone decide for me please:?

Cheers
Charlie Brown

p.s. is vostro only for business purchases or home use as well?

i can't properly access the dell site until i get home tonight, it has an error message in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Then i will have a look at this deal properly.

Oh, don't forget Quidco (or via nectar online for extra points), and this other free offer with dell purchase :-D . I'm beginning to warm to the vostro. Not overly worried about the 19 or 22inch screen.

As far as I know this is a standard-sized case mate, so you should theoretically be able to add any size of graphics card to it (keep an eye on the power consumption and power unit, though).
