Just spotted this while looking for some new desktops for work - and figured its a stonking deal for a standard use all-in-one that others may find useful. Note: this does not come with the optional desk edge mount as in the picture I've used, instead as standard they are freestanding mounts.

First person to reply saying something like 'oh you can get a vostro 220 with 21" monitor for less than that' wins the "I'm a moron" prize. This system is an all in one, for those that either don't have space for a base unit, or want an exceptionally clean desk area. Literally, the only cable you need to use or see for these systems is a power cable.

Also bear in mind that I have heard of delays of up to four weeks on these systems if you are considering ordering.

Dell Vostro 320 All-in-one
19" LCD (1440x900)
2GB Ram
320GB Hard Drive
Windows 7 Pro
802.11G wireless
1.3M Webcam
Wireless keyboard/mouse
DVDRW, speakers, etc all built in

Only has and Intel 4500 HD video adapter, should be fine for anything (including HD video) except dont expect to play games on it.

You can upgrade the Ram on these as well before the champions of Ram selling that live on this forum burst in to rescue us from yonder poisoned chalice of the land of 2GB, but Dell don't offer this upgrade as stock. Its easy enough to do yourself to be honest for not much at all.

You're right!

That you're not the best with computers.

Absolutely, completely and utterly, different things.

Ive been looking at these too and while they are not as good value as a desktop PC, I quite like the idea of the all in one, you can't really customise it much, but Dell will supply you a desk mount if you ask them, they are 3rd party ones. Also they can upgrade the ram to 4gb, I had to call to get this as the website won;t let you upgrade.

Thats the absolute pleasure of these things.

No wires trailing around everywhere, no bulky box clogging up half your desk/leg space, you can literally just plug it into the power and go.

If you want to move it to a different room, just unplug the power, plug power in different room. Done.

So its kind of like a laptop, except with none of the drawbacks. A decent sized screen raised up to a decent height for working at (no posture problems), a proper keyboard/mouse for typing with, etc.

I've originally looked at these for our new office (as it's brand new and extremely tidy, these will keep everything looking really smart and professional), but realised that you can't get all in ones for this price anywhere else, and they're great for general (non gaming) PC use.

You probably could call Dell and haggle (you can with pretty much anything) for the extra 2GB. But its not that hard to put the extra in yourself.
