This is comparable with the no longer available Tesco quad core offer, hard drive isnt so big but the graphics card makes up for this.
If you want to get rid of the £23 delivery charge add value to the pre vat amount to over £299.

For instance add Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse - World's most advanced mouse with hyper-fast scrolling discounted to £27.70
and IEEE 1394 PCI Adapter card £5 plus 19-in-1 Media Card Reader £10
This will cost £299.70 before vat but will save you the £23 shipping charge so the delivered price will become £352.15
You can of course use whatever upgrades you want, these were just exaamples.

High Value vote?????????????????????

I do hope your not telling me that some peoples votes are worth more, thats undemocratic and they don't even do that in politics....

If thats the case, HUD can sod off as thats not a fair reflection of the vox pop.....

There are several factors which dictate the impact your vote will have, as explained by Admin below:

admin:
The voting rep is based on the temperature of deals you have submitted, the time registered, number of posts, and forum rep. The first is by far the largest and the other factors are there to balance it out and give some voting rep to people who spend their time helping others etc in the forum.

So if you want to have a larger impact voting for deals, your best bet is to start posting your own hot deals, and the hotter they are voted, the more impact you will have when voting.

Its all in the site manual for all to see here http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/145906/newcomers-advice-on-hotukdeals-gene/

Hi Mr Admin,

sorry to sound blunt but simple question......

Are all votes equal, regardless of how many times the voters have posted deals, yes or no?

Thx

No.

(Plus MikeT isn't Mr Admin)

This is a deal post so not really the place to chat about the pro's and con's of the sites voting system, so if you wish to continue the discussion I suggest starting a thread in either misc or feedback.
Thanks.

HDUK has never claimed to be a democracy and as far as I’m concerned its system for increasing the power of peoples votes based on how productive they have been is logical and fair.

Gun, deal with it.

Cheep.

Hot Mike as usual.

I've added my 0.00001 heat.

I would add rep but it would count for nothing probably... maybe 100th of a red dot.
#15
Good deal as always, dirt cheap. Keep it up ;)
#16
Added my +4 and i am far from an ass licker!

How do you know my name is Ern?

My original question meant in terms of performance, is it worth the money?

It will give you a performance boost, but it depends what you are trying to run, cos the difference won't be immense.

If you need more power, save your £33.50 towards something like this, perhaps...

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139617

(not sure about Power Supply issues though).

There will naturally be plenty of other options, if you want to spend a few more pounds. This review may be useful cos it lists a 2400 and various other cards....

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Powercolor/HD_3650/1.html

Just don't pay the £170 upgrade for the 8800GT - ouch!

nice find....looks like this one should play most games...great as ever Mike

Nice One

Brought one of these a month or so ago for a friend. It had 1 more gig of ram, but a smaller (160gb) hard drive and it was about 40 quid more.

These are very quick computers. It will run Vista really smoothly even with the 128mb graphics card. The 8mb cache on the processor really makes a difference to the overall speed....

whats the motherboard & power supply? its never mentioned in the decsription for some reason.

also, can i put a 1GB 4870 in here & it'll be a decent gaming PC? thx

Price up for builders (most from scan, only place i know is cheapish for most stuff...)

Q6600: 122.07 (~100 ebay)
Premium: ~70 from ebuyer
2x1GB 6400: 26.60
250 Sata: max 30 ebay
HD2400 pro: 29.25 (25 ebay)
DVDRW: 13.97
Key/Mouse: max 15
case: max 30
psu 530w Hiper: 36.77

total: 374.36 (-26 for ebays = 348, -70 if you have a spare XP and key/m = 263)

So if you can't build, great buy. and even if you can, if it's what you want, good buy.

Great deal.

Just took a look at your Blog, some interesting articles in there, thanks Mike :)

Can anyone tell me if this machine will be quiet?

My old computer is near silent and I'd heard the Quads might be noisy.

Thanks

The two in my household ( Inspiron 530 and a Vostro 400) are very quiet. My external USB drive makes about twice the noise of the PCs!
