Hit go to deal and scroll down the page to see this offer.

This is offered (3 available) at near £600 below the £1300 Dell are asking, but there is a down side...Warranty is just 28 days return to base!
Now you could get over this in 2 ways before purchase, either contact one of the many extended warranty companies on line to see what it would cost to cover it, or grit your teeth and just go for it hoping it doesnt go wrong on you.
I would go for option 1 ;)

Dell W3706M LCD TV, 37" (94cm) 1366 x 768 LCD HD ready Television, Dual built-in TV tuners with TeleText allows two channels to be viewed simultaneously, 30W detachable speakers with table-top stands, Fantastic contrast ratio and brightness for strong, vivid images, SRS TruSurround XTTM virtual surround sound, Connect how you like with HDMI, DVI, SCART, VGA, Component and S-Video connections, Included Accessories, AC power, SCART and RF cables, Back-lit remote control, Table-top stand for TV, Detachable speakers with table-top stands, Includes a full array of Digital and Analogue AV and PC

Connectivity: It features HDMI, DVI, SCART, HD Component, and other video and audio inputs for use as a TV as well as VGA and PC audio inputs for use with a PC. Full connectivity including Audio-Video inputs (1x HDMI, 1x DVI, 1x HD Component, 2x Composite, 2x S-Video, 2x SCART, 1x TV In/Coax, 1x VGA, 8x RCA L+R Audio, 1x mini-stereo for PC audio. This tv was £1000 on the dell site recently, it astounds me how much they inflate their prices after a sale.

Reckon these are all sold.

There are still some availabale (2 at 8.50pm) - but the site is for used equipment.
It does say new BUT why is there only 28 days warranty - would suggest USED.
Nice price though.

I have a severe problem with 28days warranty.

EU Law does not allow companies to circumvent it like this afaik.

Major household appliances usually allow for 6 years.

John Lewis throw in 5 years as standard on all their tvs and 12months is the market norm.

I would like to see Dell try and justify 28days in a small claims court.

Even so I have a Dell 26" LCD tv which i totally recommend.
Only cost me £330, infact I wish I bought a second one for my pc.

£330 was a cracking price. How did you manage that? (if you dont mind me asking  )

Dell discontined the 26" & had a big sale.
Great tv with plenty of external inputs.

Huh trust me to think about it - my Mate got the last one - they said it was brand new!

Waiting for Dell to make some more offers - the sam,e website however are doing the 32" for £680 or so. :(

I ordered one of the 37" Dells - should be dispatched tomorrow :). The web-page (which I saved) advertised these as being new - so there is a statutory 1 year guarantee, despite what the retailer put in the small print. Paid by Visa too - just in case there is a dispute over warranty in future. I ain't paying for separate extended warranty - I'll take the risk.

I've got the 26" Dell upstairs from an earlier £330 deal. Great piece of kit.

Once you recieve the tv why not contact Dell directly and ask what the warranty status is for it, and come back and let us know of course.

Johnnyboy,

All new products dont have statutory 1 year guarantee. For eg, the new DELL laptops do have the option of reducing the warranty to 90 days in which case the statutory 1 year guarantee wont apply. The manufacturer is legally covered if the warranty period is stated during purchase.
#12
The Dell 90 day collect and return warranty is on top of the 1 year manufacturer's warranty. It's just that you have to pay for carriage both ways.

So, do all new products have statutory 1 year guarantee ?

This is interesting even after an item is up to six years old...

Anyone get their order yet?
I wonder if its the MH model which has faster ms rate.

I don't even have a confirmed delivery date yet, despite passing the security check and the funds taken :(
