This deal won't be for everyone, but this is a great laptop for any travelling professionals (or non-professionals!), super light and really small 13in laptop. £250 off this model, I believe today only. The display is visually stunning, thanks to its tiny bezels (in my opinion!).

This particular model is usually £1,099 - call it £950 after standard Dell discounts, so still a great saving.

7th Gen Intel Core i5-7200U
8GB LPDDR3 1866MHz
256GB PCIe SSD
Intel HD Graphics 620
Full HD Infinity Edge display

Potential Quidco/TCB (7% TCB - potentially making this sub £800!) also.

No problem. Very tempted to sell my Inspiron 7537 - very good specs, but horrible to travel with.

Enjoy! :)

Its around £100 less after 12% off with more memory (16gb) (and DDR4) and a better processor. The same size screen but with touch and only slightly heavier. Genuine question btw, i'm looking at buying one or the other now.

You are paying for incredible design and superior portability. Dedicated graphics in a device this small? Keep dreaming.

I posted about this specific discount earlier in a recent thread about the broader range with black friday discounts. Nothing against your thread, I was just hoping for more independent opinions before making my choice, well this thread is the hotter.
Today's Cyber Monday deals offers a few more discounts, but sadly only one for XPS13. http://www.dell.com/uk/p/xps-13-9360-laptop/pd The 256GB model is reduced by flat £250 in lieu of the 12%. This makes it £849 instead of £967.12 in your table. However the cheaper model which is only differentiated by the size of the storage is £879.12.

This does make the cheapest option slightly cheaper on the surface, but between the meagre £30 saving and the probable loss of TCB (if it could even be gained on the first code) it's underwhelming for me to say the least...

Edit: p.s. the 128GB model comes with "128GB Solid State Drive" as opposed to the other models' "256GB PCIe Solid State Drive". Can't say for certain but perhaps a further difference is that the cheapest model uses SATA versus all the other models (including the cyber monday discounted one) using the faster PCIe (NVMe)

Edit again: I'm torn, I want it after all I've read but for £637 (£200 or 25% less) we can get pretty much the exact same specs in an HP Envy 13. http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=Y3V78EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB
Also, it has a built in HDMI out, which I know I'll use a lot and am hunting options £30+ for USB Type-C adapters. Neither model has an ethernet port.

Not QHD, unfortunately.

That being said it really isn't too important. Lisa Gade at MobileTechReview spoke about this at some point here when comparing some laptops: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEwOCfv6Ucg

On a 13-14" screen it really isn't noticeable.

I agree the QHD is special.

But I took the Full HD version and I'm super happy with it. The Matte screen and the fact Windows doesn't have any scaling issues with the big battery life and cost savings all make the full HD the winner.

plus a few hours extra battery! One of the main thing that annoys me about the XPS is you can't have the Matte 1080p screen on the highest spec models! I'd rather have the 2-3 hours battery on a work machine!

To be honest I didn't consider the model you posted. As far as I can see the XPS is significantly smaller, lighter and has much longer battery life. These are the factors most important to me.

For someone that travels a lot, size (on this occasion, small!) really is everything. With the XPS line, you are buying into a more premium brand, which (from my experience with Inspiron and XPS) means the build quality is of a higher quality. Of course, there are exceptions.

Darnit, picked up my 9350 not long ago for £700. Lovely device though, shame the FHD screen isn't better in terms of colour gamut but I only notice it while it's sat next to a calibrated display with total sRGB coverage and a good chunk of aRGB.

Now if only there were more cheap thunderbolt 3 accessories. There's been issues with the TB15 dock from Dell, seems most of it's just overheating (240W passing through a small box with no heatsinks, bright idea Dell, easy to fix though) but some folk have other issues. Worth trying out if there's a cheap one on ebay (I'm keeping an eye out).

Real shame about the coil whine issue on such a high end device... Still present on the 9360 as was on the 9350 :(
#18
I've had this exact model for some time and it's the best laptop I've owned by a long way. Fantastic portability (size, battery life, build quality) and the 8GB has never been an issue for me, of course depends what you do with it. Ive been running Ubuntu and after some initial issues when it first came out (one of the prices you pay for cutting edge tech), it's now solid. This is a great deal.

Apply the code SAVE250 once you have added the laptop to your basket.
#21
Had this laptop a few months got it for 680 from the outlet, best computer I've had. Never hear the fans and the build quality is really good.
#22
Brilliant laptop, but I returned mine after 2 hours use when the wifi component went 'POP!'. Lovely burning smell for a while after. Scared the living daylights out of me!

I saw it flicker as offer over and back on about half an hour ago, but I think it's still on now. Be careful on the basket page that you don't accidentally switch from Current view: UK Home & Home Office to Current view: UK Small Business. I did that and it took the VAT off, disallowed the SAVE250 code, but allowed the SAVE12 code... but it's like a whole separate parallel basket which I ended up in while trying to add an accessory.

For those wondering about the accessories, I decided not to get one from dell because even if you want the official dell accessories they're about 50% more on their website than from, say, Dell via Amazon.co.uk.
Does anyone have any experience with their Accidental Damage Cover?

Expired, back to 12% off standard discount

Ordered. Dell site now says "Doorbuster OFFER ENDED! " - so I'm sorry folks if I got the last one at £849

I checked with Dell Chat first who confirmed it is the new model - XPS13 MLK (9360) - and my order email confirms this. Don't know why the site page doesn't say New XPS 13.

Hoping that TCB 7% will track - but really not expecting it to, as the Doorbuster code is not one that TCB lists
#31
Decent price but a lot of people who have got one (and it's only been out a month) have reported audio issues and coil whine so good luck and I hope everyone gets a good version!!

'TROLOLOL' as they say.

It's an ultraportable with a 13" screen in a 11.6" form factor, not a gaming machine.

If you want gaming graphics, get the the Razer Blade 14" with the Pascal chip. It 'only' costs £1750. Even them, its not the same ultra portable form factor as the XPS13.

Otherwise, jog on....

Really nice price for this and I would have been all over it, but around 7:30 am today I got a Lenovo yoga 3 with 14 inch fhd screen, 5th gen i7, 8gb ram and 256ssd for 389 on Amazon warehouse, that should do me just fine, as had no luck getting a lappy during black Friday sales:( well, for the price I should be really happy with yoga, despite the fact it's not as pretty and has worse battery life than the dell

Are you really wanting to compare a 17 incher to a small portable 13 inch with a footprint if 11.6 inch?

Yes - expired a couple of hours ago.

I had already clicked 'expire', but doesn't seem to have registered on the website, yet.
