This is an excellent deal from Dell for a high end laptop. If you were lucky enough to receive an email from Dell with a personal mystery coupon code you could save 5%, 10%, 25% or 50% on this price.

I got 25% extra off, and as it is a business purchase I also saved the VAT meaning a total price of £491 delivered.

There's a 10% voucher than anyone can use; see dmxdimension for details.

Any one got 25% or more code want to share with me if you are not using it (I got only 5% off code only)
Thanks
#3
how can you sign up to get a voucher?
#4
i think u got it by subscribing to a newsletter, only found out by doing some reading, would have liked one as getting a laptop next week or so. if anyone has one they wouldnt be using, would be a great help, thanks
#5
seems interesting, I was prob gonna go for the sony i7, but if this code comes up good maybe this.
Only thing is the screen which is 720p, but Full HD costs a lot extra.

got 5% too

Can you not use both the 10% off 'general' discount voucher (from dmxdimension) AND your 5% off 'personal' voucher at the same time? That might just do it for me. The Dell XPS 17 (2410M, 550M, etc) currently works out at £629 delived with the dmx voucher applied which is pretty good considering what you get for your money. If I could nudge it just that bit closer to the £600 mark, I think I'd get it.

If anyone doesn't want there their personal discount 5% off code, I can use it so please post...

I must have genuinely got lucky with the 25% off! I assumed it was a marketing ploy and everyone would get 25% off - like those scratchcards you get in magazines where you always win a Major prize (that turns out to be worth £10 once you have spent £12 on texts)!

It looks like you can get 7% Quidco on this too. I forgot to check before ordering, then I was worried the code might not work if I cancelled the order and reordered through Quidco.

i also got 25% off and my total comes to £592.99 inc VAT & P&P. I have been looking for a laptop for the last couple of months and i'm very tempted by this. Is it a good deal at this price? i was hoping for something closer to £500 but may have to take the bait and order if its worth the extra £92.99.

I don't suppose those with 25% offs could compare with one another and see if they have the same code? If it's the same, then I'm assuming anyone could use it. I got 5%, and it's the same code as others have posted.

Alternatively, if anyone doesn't want to use their 25 or 50 code, I could really use one!

If you compare this with what you’d get for £500 I don’t think there’d be any comparison. Go through Quidco and try and get the price down another £30+.

why dont u put your 25% code on here? pretty please..

Barkingspider - it is a very very good price. I was tempted to buy a Sony Vaio yesterday on Amazon for about £1000 that was specced lower than this one. Not sure who is voting cold?
#21
My 5% voucher was the same as everyone else's! If they gave me a 25% or more then I'd have bought this laptop by now.
#22

If anyone has used their higher % code, any chance they could post it so it can be compared as my 5% is the same as the others.
#26
5% code as well - exactly the same as the others... wouldnt mind getting 25% off this, its rather odd of dell to do that.

You expect someone to give a member of only 24minutes a code like this, all i can say to that is good luck to you, if i where giving my code out it would be to a active long time member not some noob who has the cheek to to join up with only one intention and that is to try and scrounge a code.

You know what I expect polly69? Someone who has been here as long as you have to give any "noob" a warm welcome. Seriously, how can you speak like that to someone who is polite and already mentions the fact that they are being cheeky? "Scrounge a code", damn right...im trying to save money thats why im here, thats why ive checked this site for years.

To everyone else, sorry I forgot to mention that im having problems logging in to my usual account because im away from home and cant remember my details, hence me creating a new account because i am seriously on the look out for a new laptop and this is perfect.

I was just asking, nicely.

Thanks :)

Buddy! this deal is with i7-2630QM which is second generation intel core processor built on 32nm SoC technology. It has 4 cores while 740QM comes with 2 cores and 8 threads. For further details, you can google for benchmarks. For ease, here is a link that compares all AMD and Intel high end processors:

I hope this solves your query.

if someone has a working 25% code im willing to pay them £5 for it
