XPS 17 with similar spec but nVidia GT 550M for £629 using the 10% voucher.
Quidco ~£36 for a final price of £595.

Voted cold, might be a good deal but just spent 15 minutes on Dells overly complicated site and can't find this deal anywhere. Although I wouldn't have to if the link in the deal took me there....

Sorry - first time on here!

Yep, website is a nightmare - need to use DMX Dimension or Wizmark Computers website to find the original prices, as its these that can be used for the money or percentage off vouchers as opposed to the final price.

From what I can see, the 10% off may not work on Quidco as it is not one of their voucher codes supplied by Dell but may be wrong

Yes the laptop has USB 3

Just spotted the link from Agharta as you posted thanks.

Now have the problem of this or the Lenovo G570 at saveonlaptops Pretty sure the Lenovo had a deal on here recently that took it under £500 which is ideally where I'd like to buy at.

Pros and cons to each, time for some research I think.

The graphics card in the Lenovo is not very good at all. The Dell deal will give you a graphics card that can play modern games at reasonable detail settings. So if you want to play games go for the dell. If not then the Lenovo is probably just as good of a deal

Thanks for that, it's the graphics that seems the main big difference. I only ever play online flash based games on the laptop to be honest but do need to do a little bit of power for graphics editing etc. I'm leaning towards the Lenovo because I deal with them all day at work so know the quality is there and I think the spec will be more than good enough to take care of my needs, might just have to spend the extra and get a blu-ray version though.

We'll see how drunk I am after tonight's meal and wine which might make me brave enough to finally purchase a new laptop after about 4 months of browsing, I think the girlfriend is sick of me looking now because she keeps asking if I've finally decided what I'm going to buy ;)
