For £564 you can get a 420 albeit with a 256 card but with wireless n, 3gb, tv tuner.

This ones £577 with 3gig and tv tuner plus remote and of course the 512meg card. Yes pity the 10% off isnt blanket.

how does the radeon 3870 compare to what they were offering before (8800gt) better or worse, and does it have hdmi out?

can't understand why there are poor HD upgrade options.....
even the vostro had 1.5T resonably priced upgrade

3870 is slightly inferior to the 8800/9600 and will almost certainly have two DVI/HDMI ports.
