Unfortunately that deal expired at midnight due to the 15% voucher having expired.
This is the next best deal, with slightly different specs
Total = £559 before quidco
Great spot mate, must have missed that!
Have mentioned you in the OP
I've made the deal slightly clearer now, hopefully someone will bump it in the morning, as it seems to be a great deal!
If you look at all recent threads they are all showing '0' as the temperature
Voted hot for price, but otherwise avoid, 2GB graphics RAM is not needed for this resolution.
it was around £750 few months ago for the same spec

I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about.
Dell's financial year finishes at the end of January, so they always do their best sales at the end of each quarter - January, April, July and October.

He's right on all counts: the 720p screen used on the XPS is terrible, the 1080p one is fabulous (yes, I do own one and this is from first-hand experience), and 2GB of video ram is entirely wasted on a GeForce 540M because the main situation where you'd need more than 1GB (running a complex game at 1080p with 4x or greater AA switched on) the GPU will already be chugging along, it's just a mid-range part an not intended for that kind of load.

To those moaning - you WILL NOT get a full HD screen at this price with a Core i7 and dedicated graphics. Please let me know if you do.
It is a desktop replacement, but I need to be able to carry it easily between my house and my parents. I have a full HD monitor at home - I will just connect it to this if I need a full hd resolution. As for Blu-Ray and HD movies - what are downloads for?
Great find OP and thanks to realblender for the voucher codes. Have some heat.
