Dell have today dropped the price of this ecode by £400, there is a coupon that also takes 10% off dropping the price still further. Also dropped is ecode N05X7303 by £250+10% making that lesser spec model £1351 delivered.
Ecode N05X7302 has also dropped in price to £1081 after discounts, thats over £300 off.

This will appeal to limited numbers of our members but dont just vote cold because you cant/wont afford it. It is a large chunk of money off for those who may be thinking of buying.

This system has dropped in price from previous price of £2099.00

Remember to reduce the warranty to minimum where applicable and take all Dell deals right through to checkout for final pricing.

Nice to see Dell are concentrating on credit crunch deals!

I'm no expert on this but for such a powerful computer & priced at over £1500, isn't a 320GB hard drive a bit measly??

Or £60 if you want the free fall version. Oh and probably a 3 week wait as nobody has any stock yet!

Only buy a laptop if you NEED mobility.. you could build a pc of similar performance for 1/4 the price. Also, if a component fails on this laptop it'd be very very expensive to repair if it's out of warranty.

Very true, but 1/4 price is a little over the top! Find me a desktop system with this spec for £383!:p

lol - if you drop this laptop, I'm sure having the freefall hard drive is the last of your worries ;)

Depends on whether you value the hardware or the data more.

Getting close with this C2D E7300 based machine at £424 delivered. Includes a 22" monitor. So 1/3 with similar spec and no monitor would be achieveable.

Does the ATI Radeon 3450 256MB graphics in that deal come anywhere close to comparing with the dual SLI 512MB NVidia 9800GT graphics in the portable? And the portable comes with a BluRay drive, which tends to bump prices up quite a lot.

A blu-ray drive is only £45, not THAT much.

And no, that doesn't come close, However, you could certainly do it for £700-900. Echoing the original comments, laptops like this are only useful if you absolutely must have a mobile and powerful system, if you're looking at it then it's worth considering whether a seperate laptop and desktop would suit you better.

Nearly bought one of these when they were on offer a month or so ago. Ordered it today, added BluRay R/W.

Thanks for posting.
