on the dell mini 10 you get a
3-cell Lithium-Ion Battery (24 WHr)

on most others such as the wind and samsung NC10 simillarly priced (samsung has a much better review than the dell mini 10) you get a 6 cell battery which with the samsung lasts up to EIGHT hours!!!

yeah I know ... was just messin with yer ... still a good deal tho. I love my dell 9, but have several peeps courting it so may sell it and get a 10

If people are considering that Dell mini, QVC have the Archos (same machine relabelled I think) which has a spare battery and power supply -very handy. 3 interest free payments and very easy to return if you don't like it.

Only today http://www.qvcuk.com

Mind Quidco too.

you would be a fool to pay this money for the dell when the samsung nc10 is the same price and loads better

is the dell studio one worth getting? Was going to upgrade to the 23 inch screen and its comes to around 468 kwid.

is it easy to upgrade these studio computers with a bluray drive?
and im guessing memory and harddrive upgrading will be easier enough.

or i was going to opt for the ACER available at tescos which has 4gb, 1.5tb and BluRay, but no monitor for £450.00 and try and find a cheap hd monitor.

which is better in the long run?, need something to last me a for the next couple of years... mainly word processing, browsing net...bit of photoshop, watching movies......not going to be playing games.

dell - much better build quality

Dell's build is going to be better than the Acer but I think the Dell base is strictly middle of the road -so it may not suit many people. Have to be careful with Dell deals. Look for more codes http://www.dmxdimension.com update to get better value from codes and only take a monitor if you need one.

The Dell Mini, Archos, all the other versions of this relabelled machine and the Samsung are all very similar. The Samsung does have a better battery but the Archos beats that as it's has 2 batteries and 2 power supplies. Very handy.

As an alternative to the Dell Mini Note 10 netbook, there's also the MSI Wind U100 (6 cell version, 1gb ram, 160gb hd, Windows XP home, 2 year warranty). On Cdiscount this weekend they're offering 15% credit to your account on orders over £100, plus there's 4.5% Quidco (- it can also be purchased on their 3Discount easypay system since it's over £75). The also have the version with 3 cell battery and 120gb hard drive for £40 less before any further discounts.
