I bought one last year, they are GREAT.

You can micowave and use the grill at the same, cuts cooking time by 1/2 for casseroles etc

Do you know what the interior is made of, is it stainless steel? Thanks :)

looks good

Got one of these the week before last.
Absolutely massive inside and outside, dont buy if you're expecting a compact size! That said though,it's been faultless up to now, made short work of everything we've thrown at it with its 30litre capacity and 900W.
Well worth the money.

Yes, mines a stainless interior, easy to clean when it's steamy - just after cooking - otherwise a scrub off job

Whats the grill part like for making toast?

Well it heats up, sort of glow red. You put bread underneath it and the bread goes brown, fairly self explainatory really. :whistling:

It's fine comes with wire racks

I have reserved one of these but am a little confused is it microwave, grill & convection oven or just microwave & grill thanks to the original op

Must be all three

Convection temperature control.
Oven temperature range 140 to 230 degrees.
Rapid re-heat with power output of 2500 watts

FYI - This is only a Microwave with Grill Element, if you are after a Convenction Oven / Microwave, you need something like this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4006608/Trail/C%24cip%3D1500010851.Kitchen%2Band%2Blaundry%3EC%24cip%3D1500010878.Microwaves.htm

Great deal!!! Good make and looks great too...all futuristic-like...im annoyed that ive already got a micro-grill now....
#18
Well according to Argos the oven section is ticked, so i'm presuming its got an oven feature
#19
Hubby just walked in with ours and it says fan assisted convection oven on the box!
#20
I have this exact model and it is a convection oven as well as a microwave and grill.

We use it more as a convection oven than the kitchens fan oven as it pre heats quicker.

It's well worth the £65.

I have a Sharp version of this and trust me - you won't know how you ever managed without one.

Bought mine as brand new off eBay for 60.00, was 120.00 new at the time.

Using the oven/microwave together, you can cook jacket poatoes (real oven baked ones) in about 8 minutes for 1, 16 minutes for 4. Chips that take about 30 minutes in the oven take about 10 in the microwave and those lovely Ristorante pizzas that are 99p in Morrisons at the moment take only 6 minutes!

Hope this helps, very good price for what you get.

Oh, by the way, if it's anything like mine - it is huge so will take up a lot of surface space and has a large metal sticky out back - so will not be suitable for all kitchens
#22
Does the top of this unit get hot? Funny question I know but we have a tendency to put stuff on top of our current 17 year old microwave! Just a bit weary that if the grill feature is used the top will become very hot!

Anyone know?
#23
Bought one the other day. Definite bargain. Excellent price for a 3 in 1 microwave. Don't hesitate because they will sell quick. 5 Star for the cash
#24
Can anyone tell me in what increments the timer goes up in? ie can I set cooking time to the second? or only the nearest 30 seconds?

All three: oven - microwave - grill, can be used separately or together in diferrent combi's

This is a licenced OEM product it is not made be Delonghi they dont make Microwaves anymore, spares will only be available through Argos, Delonghi will have nothing to do with these they just tell you to get back to where you brought it from.

Even since Delonghi brought Kenwood they have been giving both Kenwood & Delonghi badge to anyone that wants to put it on a OEM product for a fee.

So be warned everyone if it breaksdown or you want a spare for it be prepared to wait.

thanks for this saw it on here at 5:30 pm back from argos with one by 6 pm :)

It most certainly does have an oven:

Combination microwave oven and grill.
Microwave power output 900 watts.
5 microwave power settings.
Grill power output 1100 watts.
Grill with metal element.
Heating category E.
Microwave and grill can be used simultaneously.
Interior capacity 30 litres (1.0 cu.ft.).
Convection temperature control.
Oven temperature range 140 to 230 degrees.

It's very versatile and very efficient

Surely this means there are plenty of these about, all under different manufacturers names, hence spares or repairs would be readily available ?????.

I'm sure I have seen an identical Samsung combi, same but not the badge. VW or Skoda ??

Argos will replace it with a new one if it gets a serious problem within the guarantee. I had the older model which broke 10 months in, they swapped it for this newer model (much better) and gave me the £5 for £50 voucher that was running at the time as well.

In my experience the main thing that breaks on microwaves is the bulb. This oven takes the standard small 20w SE14 oven bulbs and you can even get them from asda.

As I tend to slam the oven door the bulbs break a lot. 3 philips screws and two Torx screws hold the top on, it slides off and you just screw in the new bulb. My second last microwave needed a specialist bulb "part" which included a new bulb mount and that cost over £10 a time.

As for time increments it's 5 seconds from 0-1 min, 10 seconds from 1-5 min, then up in 1 minutes after that. the quick cook button is 30 seconds for each press. The convection temps go up in increments of 10 degrees. This really is an excellent (but big) oven.

As this is almost identical in looks with identical spec to the Kenwood KEN-CJ/AL28 Combi Microwave we bought from Currys in November 2006 for £15 more than this (so-say half price then too :-), I guess you are right about the OEM branding. However, our Kenwood version of this microwave has performed impeccably since purchase and not only does it looks good but it is also a doddle to program and use too. If the Delonghi is basically the same microwave with a different badge then at this price it's a bargain buy.

How does this compare with the Cookworks Signature Stainless Steel Easi-T Combi Microwave here:

I have one in my town 2nd hand but only used for a couple of weeks for sale at £50, and I can't decide which one to go with! I can't find any reviews on the other...

Can do with any advice on this as we're moving flats in a week and there's no oven! But i do have a George Foreman grill! :)

Thanks

I think it's been asked before but does this get warm outside when using the oven/grill? We put stuff on top of our old micro.
#38
Just been using mine, it gets hot to touch so I won't be putting stuff on top, but its not hot enough to burn yourself I don't think?

Does anyone know where there is a decent list showing how long to cook stuff for in a one of these? The one that comes with is a bit basic...
