A dehumidifier removes the excess moisture created on a daily basis through activities such as running baths, drying laundry and using washing machines, all of which can lead to condensation, damp and mould. With the help of a dehumidifier, you can maintain a more constant level of humidity and alleviate these conditions, the higher the extraction rate, the more condensation you can control. The DEM10 from De'Longhi is a high efficient compact dehumidifier that can extract 10 L (or 18 pt.) of water from your environment every 24 hours. The more efficient the unit and to optimise its efficiency the DEM10 features a humidistat, allowing you to set moisture to a comfortable level and control energy usage at the same time.

The DEM10 uses ecological gas R134a and collects demineralised water that is ideal for re-use in, for example, steam irons. Standing at only 42 cm high, the DEM10 compact portable dehumidifier is also ideal for rooms and houses where space is at a premium. It is quiet in operation and has a built-in carry handle to ensure it can be moved around the home with ease. Not only for removing moisture from the air, the DEM10 is also ideal for drying clothes. The top mounted control panel is easy to use and has a cover for added safety, while other features include an anti-frost setting for low temperatures, a 2 L tank, a tank control system, a washable dust filter and a permanent drain facility that can be installed with the supplied plumbing kit.

Box Contains
1 x De'Longhi DEM 10 Dehumidifier
1 x Full product instructions
1 x Permanent drain facility kit

I bought same for £79 at Currys 4 years ago. Same price+inflation. Not a deal. They just inflate prices to make look it a deal.Like recent Currys trick for iMac 5k; mate bought it for £1349 3 months ago, now it cost £1749 :) ...

buy cheap, pay twice.

I bought mine for £89 2 years ago.
you get 2 years warranty , the manufacturer is good, I broke my tank filter by accident because it came off while re inserting the tank, so they sent me a new tank hassle free.
good machine. you will get people who say it's noisy bla bla, so is every machine!

Totally agree. Had my eye on a washer dryer from sonic last year and the price actually went up on 1st January. Other prices have stayed the same with just a big "boxing day sale"banner from laptops direct.

I've had a few DEM 10 units and pull the water out no issues.
Had a fault on 2 where the relay has gone on the pcb but swapped myself.
Had the slim line one above this model and didn't rate it, yes it was quite and better air flow but didn't pull the water out as good.
Quote from above "collects demineralised water" no it's not it's normal water like the side of a beer/coke can it works the same.
Quote from above "Has a cover for the controls" the older models did.

I still get one lol

There's a bigger one on offer today as well the DNC65 at 109.99, I looked at but put off by the number of people that said they went faulty, typically just outside the warranty

You just don't need these with proper ventilation

No s***t sherlock oO

Note that this is a compressor based dehumidifier so it will be quite noisy, you will not be able to sleep with this in the next room. A desiccant based one is much quieter if you are using it to dry clothes at night.

Correct but for us you've had showers before work and can't leave windows open or fan running so this did the job, also when drying washing.

Hi
It works the same as the inside of your fridge when you leave the door open or first take a cold can out when water appears on the side. Or when you turn the car off after the a/c been on there's a puddle appears at the front.

Yes I know that, but my point being that it is pure water taken from the air. Any minerals etc originally in the water before it vaporized wont evaporate into the air.

Good machine. I got 3 of these and they are great. Be careful as they can be very noisy if you get a faulty one and dont realise they are meant to be quiet in running. As we got 3, we know that they should be quiet in running so when we bought the 3rd one, we returned it and got a quieter one.

The water bowl is not big so will need to be emptied regularly. Best if the waste pipe could connected directly to a waste source so you dont need to empty the water tank all the time.

These don't have a waste pipe! oO

They do. They come with a waste pipe that can be connected directly to the sink waste or to an external waste source. Plastic pipe about 1m to 1.5m in length i think.
