I think when you add it to your basket it finally shows the correct amount. Not buying it but just checking.

£179.99 for me and ready to collect immediately - although I'll have to give it a miss - I can't even maintain my Tassimo let alone a full on coffee machine

For the peeps that already have one, is the grinder a burr grinder and how fine does the grind dial down to?

Does it make hot chocolate

Try getting the grind down to the finest that will still allow a flow of coffee through the outlets.

Haven't got the same model as this but if coffee is too watery then either you need to increase amount of coffee beans going into the grind (right hand dial by look of photo) or decrease the amount of water going through the grind (left hand dial by look of photo), probably a combination of the two. That way you'll get a smaller but much more intense espresso losing the watery taste, takes a bit of experimentation to get things set right but once done you're sorted until you change to a different strength bean when you'll need to tweak slightly to your taste.
On my machine (different model) I have both set to just over half way if that helps.

Yes, just break up a Cadbury's dairy milk or Galaxy bar and stick it in the bean grinder....then voila....

you're machine is now good for the recycle bin :p

I think you will find it cheaper at Tesco!!

Tesco were OOS when I looked last night but seem to be available again now.
The 2600 model (same machine but black) is £279!

Anyone tried registering the unit to get the freebies via the Delonghi promotion?. I found after completing registration that I was taken to the eightpointnine website where they appear to be offering the free coffee beans Delonghi are promoting but with a caveat - it looks like you're then joining this "club" and get sent coffee every 2 weeks for £8.99 at a time. Checked their Ts and Cs and it says that they take a pre-payment auth for the first two orders when you apply for your free beans!. I'm pretty reluctant to commit to them just to get these free beans.

Anyone done this yet - if so how've you got on?.
