Asda were selling sledges for £10 - not sure if they are anymore though

Bought one in Asda for a couple of years back (think I paid £5 after the snow had gone). It's a basic, cheap sledge - the kids love it. Wish I'd got 2.

...claims they were retailing for £7-£8 but were being marked up during what the BBC initially called the "cold snap", then updated to "cold spell". I believe the latest official term is "winter". Anybody got any snow left (and could you post some to Glasgow?)

£3 or £8 makes sense as they're only £4 each wholesale here: http://www.davidssales.co.uk/shop/vprod1.asp?cat=47005228 If I can just find another 399 people who want one.

Rubbish plastic. Broke after a few goes. Waste of money.

Wait 'til Wednesday. There may be snow then.

Spotted this on MSE:

For anyone that lives near a Rightway store the same sledge was about £8.00 about three weeks ago. HTH

Large plastic tea trays or plastic lids.

you can buy these from all your 99p shops Poundlands

Due to the mad sell out of Sledges I have bought the above and they worked great.

For sale signs work great to.

Try local antique shops and flea markets.. we wanted a sledge during the snow and like many others we couldn't get hold of one.. Happened to drive past our flea market and they had about 10 of them for sale, old wooden with metal runners type. Ours was £18 and it goes like a rocket lol. Was far far better than any of the plastic ones we saw when we were sledging, and we saw plenty of broken plastic ones too. Ours is now in the loft ready for next time :-))
