Terrabytes
It says 0.1g. Rubbish deal (_;)
It does indeed say it's 59p for 0.1gm. That's certainly no bargain. Cold from me too.

it also says £5.90 for 10 grams which equates to 59p per gram. I'm confused, it can't be both so which is it? The packaging contradicts itself...

Thanks for that.

That would make sense.

I bought 10g from Dubai for about £5 a few years ago.

Cold from me.

Should say £590/10 gms! Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world. Much sold is fake but defo not this!

The 4g you bought equates to 32.5p for the same amount as this - 0.1g - so this is not cheaper at all! :)

if it is 1g then £5.90 for 10g is correct .1 is £590 for 10. i suspect it is 1gm great price!

Saffron at Tesco is 0.5g for £2.50, and at Asda is 0.5g for £2.76. That's 50p-55.2p per 0.1g.

I'll wager the LIDL offer is 0.1g for 59p. That would make it fairly priced if you only wanted 0.1g, but frankly that's such a small amount you'd waste almost half of it in the packaging! It would still be cheaper per 0.1g at Tesco or Asda.

This only deserves to be hot if it's 1g for 59p, in which case it's smoking! Sadly that seems unlikely, but I would love to be wrong! :-)

About a year ago Asda had 0.5g for £1 - I cleared their shelf! Since then I've bought it at Tesco. FWIW people say the Schwarz saffron is the best, but that's only 0.4g for about £4, so twice the price of Tesco's own brand.

I've never used them but there's a website selling saffron which I've been tempted by. They do saffron threads or powder. I should think the powder is easier than having to grind it yourself, but I'll wager it will go off more quickly. If you need 10g of saffron (which is quite a lot) then it's £22.55 (delivered) which is just 22.55p per 0.1g.

Checked in Lidl today and it's 0.1g for 59p. Sorry OP, No Deal!

Purchased some and weighed it. ...definately .1g making it £5.99 per gram not 10gm as on the shelf label.
