Noticed this just dropped in price recently. RS seemed to be the cheapest around. Im saving my pennies.

From the Website

The Denon AVR1910 is an impressive AV receiver from a company with more experience than most.

With Dolby TrueHD, dts-HD Master Audio decoders and no fewer than four HDMI inputs, the latest Denon AV receiver is fully equipped for the High Definition age. As you'd expect from one of the leading home cinema brands, the AVR-1910 is not just about features but quality, too. Independent power supplies, custom capacitors, short signal paths and a 32-bit floating point DSP all contribute to superb sound quality. Thanks to the Compressed Audio Restorer, even MP3 files can sound good through the Denon.

Yet it's not just the sound quality that can work wonders for your home cinema system. The AVR1910 can transform the picture quality, too. With a new High bit i/p converter and scaler up to 1080p, this Denon AV receiver offers the very best picture quality from any source input.

Other great facilities in this feature-packed receiver include a passive second zone output for music in another room, Digital Media Connectivity and an ergonomically designed remote control. New features for this latest Denon model include Dolby Pro Logic IIz decoder and a sleep timer.

It might be at the forefront of home cinema design, but that doesn't make the AVR1910 difficult to use: quite the opposite in fact. Audyssey's MultEQ auto room set-up is one of the best in the business and gives precise set-up control in relation to the room's acoustics.

Pity its just a tenner off as Ive been after this for a while. I was also considering the 2310 which has dropped down to £670 but was offered it last weekend at sound and vision show in bristol for £640 and £360 for the 1910. I live in glasgow so went for neither as I want one local with warranty.

Best deal ive found so far is avland in nottingham who are doing the 1910 for £350 and the 2310 for £600 but that is for collection only and was given that price by email/phone call as its much more expensive on their website. Any idea if richer sounds would pricematch avland?

Awesome amp. I paid £450 for one at Richer Sounds about 4 months ago. Amazing sound with a decent 7.1 speaker set.

....an entry level Ford is cheaper than a Ghia, Sainsburys basics are cheaper than Sainsburys taste the difference. It's a higher spec model therefore it's going to be more expensive than the entry level 1610, so I don't get your point? :?

Good price for a good bit of kit

Worth mentioning the extended warranty is £38.95 for five years. I will definiately be looking at this. My Sony STR DG 820 lasted 14 month before the HDMI switch blew. (SKYHD box fault!). It cost 40 quid just for the Sony repair centre to just look at it. Worth the investment I reckon.

I started by looking at the AVR-1610 and all the excellent help in that thread is well worth a read for anyone making a decision on this price range of Amp. In the end I decided on the Yamaha 765 for £329 at Hifix as from what I read it was as good as or maybe superior to the Denon 1910 for £70 less(at that time) and looks to have features that are worth the extra £80 over the 1610. I'm a Denon fanboy so it took a lot of persuading reviews for me to move away from them.

RS will price match anything that is in stock and available to be delivered/picked up.....I pricematched with WireFreeHomes last weekend for £619 and then got a 5 year warranty for the 2310 for £660 all in.....which was a pretty good deal if you ask me....and is an amazing amp.....

With the avland price being over the phone it might be harder - they may have to phone up and, depending on whether or not they say "Hello, this is Richer Sounds" - they may not be keen to give out a price if they think they are losing a sale.
