Because some people will appreciate the better performance/audio quality of a dedicated CD player designed precisely for 1 purpose.

i dont see much of the Denon stuff in black........in peoples homes i mean. i know a few people that have Denon kit and non is black.
I wonder why. Id prefer black to be honest, signature thing?
