It sure is, I bought mine second hand from Ebay last month for £185 delivered (still has 20 months warranty) and thought that was a great deal until this price drop.
For £189.95 by using the VIP voucher its an absolute steal.
I'm renovating a house and first looked at this, but the apple tv setup offers audio and visual and is cheaper, it's all new to me so I'm still learning

To start with, this device is not designed to play through your tv, it is designed as a Hi-Fi separate and as a replacement or addition to a CD Player and also a separate tuner connected to either a stereo amplifier or home cinema receiver amplifier.
Apart from existing mechanical reasonings with CD Players, components and power supplies used, the main aspect of why devices sound (and cost) differently is down to the quality of the conversion from the bits and bytes in digital music and its translation to analogue which we hear through our speakers..this is all down to Digital Analogue Converters.
Digital Analogue Converters (DAC) are not as advanced in generic audio and visual streamers, or for that matter in the Logitech Squeezebox...this means if you are into high fidelity sound and want to stream FLAC files (compressed but maintain the original information of the CD) you are at a disadvantage unless you buy and utilise an external DAC to do the process for you.
You can however bitstream (feed the audio digitally via either optical or Coaxial Digital) audio to certain amplifiers and receivers and let them do the decoding (in other words your amplifier may have an internal DAC, and all surround receivers most certainly do), but generally even with mid range equipment (such as my Marantz Receiver) you find internal DACs of decent CD Players or Network Streamers etc still offer better sound quality.
If you only want to stream MP3s etc, then really none of this will matter, and a unit like this other than for the convenience of having internet radio onboard could be a waste of money.
I bought one to replace the majority of my CDs to the convenience of audio streaming, I need a near like for like process. Whilst the Denon does not quite match the sound of my existing NAD CD Player, its close enough for me compromise, however I would never consider streaming MP3s through Hi Fi separates you really do notice the difference with compressed audio. I save those for my MP3 Player and the car.
