The videos of Basildon synth-pop pioneers Depeche Mode are justly celebrated not only for charting the band's musical evolution but also their penchant for stylish visual imagery. This collection features all of the band's videos from 1986 to 1998. Of the 20 videos here, director Anton Corbijn was responsible for 18, including classics such as "Enjoy the Silence", "Strangelove" and "Personal Jesus", which means this is as much a profile of his work as Depeche Mode's. Much of Corbijn's material was shot in black and white, lending it an artful edge which captures some of the majesty of Mode's music. The non-Corbijn videos are Peter Care's for "Stripped", notable for its bleak imagery, and Clive Richardson's assured "A Question of Lust". The videos are presented chronologically and bookended by interviews with the band discussing the videos and the singles, making this a fantastic retrospective not only of Depeche Mode's visual side, but of their enduring musical legacy too.

Depeche Mode - Sounds of the Universe £7.19 + Free Delivery
Sounds of the Universe is the upcoming twelfth full-length album by Depeche Mode, to be released internationally on 20 April 2009, and 21 April in the USA. It will be supported by the Tour of the Universe. According to a press release, the band recorded the LP in Santa Barbara and New York using tons of vintage synthesizers and drum machines, which is a good sign considering that the last fifteen years or so of Depeche albums have brought them a bit too close to broody schmaltz-rock. Ben Hillier, the Britrock maestro who produced their last album, 2005's kinda meh Playing the Angel, will be on board again, which is not such a good sign. "Wrong" will be the first single; other album tracks include "Jezebel", "In Chains", and "Hole to Feed"
Provisional Tracklistings::
In Chains
Hole to Feed
Fragile Tension
Little Soul
In Sympathy
Come Back
Miles Away/The Truth Is

Yup. Nearly twice this price now.:x
Already got this but I'm hoping they'll reduce the price of their recently remastered back catalogue so I can hear 'Black Celebration' & 'Music For The Masses' in all their glory.
