THIS IS NOT A DUPLICATE, well you could describe it as a duplicate with an app or add on!

Go to Wonderdeals deal (thanks to Wonderdeal, i cannot understand why you got so much grief, quite clearly a great deal for the phone only):
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/htc-desire-dial-a-phone-20-18months/755497

But then you got to (£50 quidco):
http://www.mobiles.co.uk/o2-samsung-e1170.html

Go to o2 600 18 month deal and you get 16 months free line rental by redemption. WARNING: This is a CPW co so you need to do everything by the book, read, reread, understand and adhere to the conditions of the cashback!

So that means you get the 600 mins, 500 texts and you add the data botlon for £5/month. So:
Line rental £3.89/month x 18 = £70.02
+ Data £5/month x 18 = £90.00
Total of 160.02 - £50 quidco = £110

So £110 plus the £275 from Wonderdeal and you have a Hot Deal in my opinion!

I just took it out, didn't want the HD or anything any bigger than the Desire!

ALSO: If you would prefer not to got through mobiles.co.uk then do a search on this site, it is the nads!

Thank you and goodnight!

Once again big thanks to wonderdeal.

I cannot find this on your dial-a-phone link

Also be careful of 500mb FUP limits, I have had my desire for about 2 weeks and switch onto airplane mode at night, use wi-fi in the house and still am coming in around 5-600mb for the month (have a 3G monitor on the phone) I would say you need a 1gb limit for these phones due to the level of downloads just for normal checking (and I have reduced my frequency for checking on most things to every 4 hrs)

How do you manage that? I currently have a Galaxy S with my work email via PUSH and only use 200-300MB a month... Granted this is nearly 200MB more than I used with my previous WM6.5 device for seemingly the same activity, but 500-600MB seems an awful lot (without using streaming services, downloads, maps etc).

Cheers

i cannot find this deal sorry

No problem, which part can't you find?

The dial a phone link (although it works for me from thedeal link):

http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/phone/HTC_Desire/

It is the first deal there. If you look at Wonderdeals deal it explains it in full detail.

Cold already, i suspected as much!

Can anyone point me to a better deal with as good a tariff?

Next best deal i could find was £25/month therefore £450 over 18 months and with T-mob and their cr~p coverage!

O2 have the best coverage by far in my area. And the next best i can find for O2 is £29.17/month, totalling £525.06!

4 months late but I was looking for deals for desire and this came into my search.

Brilliant idea... 2 phones (1 HTC Desire and 1 Samsung E1170) and 2 contracts from O2 (1 without redemption, 1 with redemption).

I think it's voted cold because it's not easy to understand. And having 2 contracts might not appeal to many ppl. But in the end (if all the cashback and redemption works), it's a great savings for getting an HTC Desire complete with data plan (£385 total cost). And we can always sell the Samsung E1170 for a bit of money.

Another option that I can think of is to go with the Wonderdeal's deal (£275 for HTC Desire) and £10/month with Giff Gaff (250mins, unlimited text and unlimited internet). Giff Gaff uses O2's network so coverage should be the same. In this case, an 18-month period will cost £275 + (£10 x 18) = £455 in total. £70 more expensive than the deal posted by OP but without any redemption hassle.

Or get a White HTC Desire for even cheaper!

£175 here (with redemptions): http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/htc-desire-white-367-56-174-62-after-cashback-redemption-dial-a-phone/850916

Then add £110 as explained by OP to make it £285 in total including O2 contract with data plan. Cheaper but comes with 2 contract and both requires redemption.

Or add £180 (£10/month Giff Gaff network) to make it £355 with only 1 redemption to handle.
