I have a hp and have replaced the ink once, it has just run out again after hardly any use. The ink was nearly £50 and it seems to waste loads 'cleaning' itself and preparing for use. The cyan one has now gone and clever software will not now let me use the printer to print in black only using the almost full black cartridge. Am so frustrated with that that I have now gone for a kodak. Ink prices should be quoted like gold etc as they seem as high. Imo, hp ink total rip off. Had lexmark before it and the prices for that were not much better. They market this as only replace the ink that has run out, what they don't say is if a color is empty you have to replace it even to print from the black cartridge only.
My hp takes 7 cartridges but even the ones which take 4, costs around £24 for the 3 colours and £15 for the black. I only ever use the real mcoy with ink as been ripped off with compatibles so much. I would pay the extra and go for a kodak. Hope that helps in some way, bet I can't give my hp away on freecycle, that speaks volumes. 8)

Ps heat still added op as good price, just I wouldn't have another.
The inks are £29.99 for a full set instore so I politely declined and will buy online where you can currently get a full set for around £18.
The printer is relatively well reviewed.
I got this when HP were doing them for less but at this price it's good value as the quality is good.
I will NEVER buy anything HP again.
Never ever again.
The only thing worse than their products is their CS. Appalling.
Or am I missing something?
