There's also a more slimline version for the same price:

but that one appears to be without DVD drive (there is a space for it in the pictures though).

Both of these have integral PSUs, none of the power bricks you get with acers.

An Atom PC in a full tower? Don't think so! If it really is it'll be empty inside - prob just a stock photo.

emmm..!
Reminds me of an Acer Aspire One,
minus Web cam, WiFi, Screen, Portability, ...
plus: DVD-/+RW

....I would go for the Acer! :)

and why would you want an underpowered DESKTOP PC? Rather go for a £199 ish netbook and save space!! I honestly think ATOM is on its way out, dont bother spending any moeny on it!! The Intel CULV chips blow the atom out of the water, in terms of battery, power and total package!! Look at the new acer 1410s or 1810Ts to see what I am talking about. Or wait till 1th Jan when the new N4XX series is launched!

This is a desktop not netbook or laptop

No - it's a nettop in a big case!

For comparison (and why this is cold) here is a motherboard and CPU for £64.73 which has the newer 330 installed.

I would - board and cpu for £60 is a fine basis for a low power media server/ NAS/ webserver etc etc.

Slightly off topic here guys so my apologies before hand

I have been looking for a reasonably priced deal on pc and monitor which is suitable for gaming for my son. Original budget was around 500 but it seems there is nothing around with a decent graphics card in that sort of bracket.

I realize I will have to up my budget but don't want to spend any more than say 650. Not interested in a Dell machine tho, can anyone recommend something suitable.

Thanks :gift:

Thanks for the reply, I have actually gone for this machine, I was quite impressed with the specs for the price. I confirmed with the help line that I would need the full version of win 7 and added it to my order. Total price with next working day delivery am came to £501.32 which I was quite pleased with

Heat and rep added my friend :santa:
