any point in listing these misprice threads especially from amazon as they always cancel the order and offer to sell it to you at the propper price i think they do it on purpose to get people to talk about them

I think you are right. Shame:(

Indeed, misprice mania this week.

Play.com with their Pirates of the Caribbean Blu-Rays, and now this deluge of Amazon "offers".

I can't help but think these companies have come up with a quick-fire macro to send out to all their customers and cancel all their offers at the touch of a button, and are now just doing these "mistakes" occasionally to get some website hits. Can't beat free marketing I guess.
#7
well even if they honour some of them its all good plus if they cancel the order its no hardship as you wasn't going to buy them at full price so you've not lost anything really
#8
Oh don't get me wrong i'm not complaining at all, and you've got to be in it to win it as they say... I just think its happening a bit too regular to be a mere mistake on behalf of the retailers, thats all :)
#9
Yeah, because Amazon and Play are such small-time operators who really need the website traffic and need to get their names out there, y'know. So they can compete with the big boys.
#10
Or to look at it from another perspective, amazon and play are such small time operators that they need to employ monkeys to update their pricing info on their website in order to cut costs.

We all love sarcasm *group hug*

Yes, it's worth posting them. If it weren't for BristolDeal posting about Rome The Complete Seasons 1&2 being down to £17.97 from £72, I wouldn't have known about the pricing mistake. Now I have a shipping notice with tracking number because I used an amazon prime trial to order it and make sure it shipped before Amazon had time to cancel the order. So, yes, I have Rome for £17.97 on its way to me instead of having to pay £72. It's now back up to £52.98, by the way.
