Why Is it such an issue if they take money straight away? Its so easy to cancel and get a refund

the last time i tried was a complete pain, they canceled it fast enough but took 4 months to get a refund, mind that was some time ago. once bitten twice shy

Fair enough. I've never had an issue at all but that's understandable

Can anyone confirm if you can combine this £5 code and the £10 off £50 "first order" code? That would be immense if the case.

Why? it's only £40, if people can't have that tied up waiting for a game, then maybe buying games should be lower down their priority list from a personal finance perspective...?

I don't think it's the fact voyager123 hasn't got the money it's the idea that they take £40, of your hard earned, MONTHS before the game is to be released! I would much rather the money be in my account earning interest. If a better deal comes up before release you have to get a refund and Tesco haven't done a thing!
I will also be keeping my order with amazon, quite frankly Tesco have a cheek!

Absolutely! Interest on £40 over 2 months is worth at least three penny chews.

Thanks for knowing finances better than I do have more than enough money to pay for it now, but it just don't like given money for something that's not out for sometime. If people want to buy it now I don't find the need to judge them. There is also the chance that something you preorder gets delayed (very unlikely to be this before you pull me up on this). And as I posted last time I preordered in advance and canceled it took 4months to get my money back, was more bothered about how long it took to get refund and the lies I was told than the money itself.

Wasn't aimed specifically at you, just see the same comment posted on Pre Order deals all the time and can never understand why people have such a hang up over £30-40. Although can see you've had history with your previous order.
