3 Seater looks as though it's out of stock but 2 seater and Chair still available.

I have no idea if BHS sell decent quality furniture or not but seems a good deal to me, was thinking about getting a cheap Tesco suite until I saw this for not much more. No point in going overboard as I have two large dogs.

It's all real leather not like the cheap crap you get from Argos etc, or the usual "leather" sofa deals you see on here, where it's leather effaced, so leather front and pvc look a like sides and back. So on the whole a reasonable price.

The only think that had me a little concerned was the 'plywood frame' don't know if this is standard at this price range. My Quidco has tracked for £49.65 for a 3&2 seater.

i would double check the free delivery charge with BHS as i ordered a leather sofa last month with free del but delivery due date came and no sofa arrived and on contacting them they said they required payment for delivery or i could cancel. I wondered if it was because i got it at such a bargain price with extra discounts?

Do you know if you can view these sofas in the stores or not?

Doesn#'t look like a comfy sofa to me, looks more like that "Hard leather" rubbish...

I have had this sofa for about 5 years now and it is comfy. I live alone so still in great condition

I have the 3 seater & 2 seater, mind you wish I had went for 2 x 2 seaters as 3 seater was a nightmare to get in front door.

It's decribed as 'The "Jamaica pull-up' leather from Italy, is of a very high quality and therefore shade variations and markings are inherent characteristics of this type of leather.

Looking into this I found this "These Pull Up leathers are designed to become "distressed" looking through time and use. Its properties are similar to full aniline but in places of heavy use, the oils will be pushed away leaving lighter areas - particularly on the seating areas. It will also scratch easily."

It'll be no good for me with kids, but for someone who wants that type of look a good deal.

Thinking about getting one of these. Has the leather worn or become marked in the way suggested by others above? Also, if you don't mind me asking, did you pay anything like the original prices for these sofas? Basically, wondering if this is as good a deal as it seems

I have three kids (7, 4, 1) and a fourth on the way. Is buying a leather sofa like this a seriously bad idea?

I'd get the tele fixed first if i were you..... :p

Only joking :) Leather sofa definately bad idea if you have four kids. I mean think about it, what were you like at that age? Jumping on it non stop, spilling paint, dirt and dinner. Wouldnt bother if i were you.

I have 4 (2,4,6 & 8 ) and don't think this is the sofa for either of us!! 'Cheap' Argos 'leather' might be ok as wipes clean. Personally, we've gone the Ikea-with-washable-covers route!

I think leather sofas are great with kids (maybe not ones that scratch easily though) - easy to wipe clean, remove pen / paint marks etc....
#21
Good price, however I would be careful of the quality and design. We bought one of the "large" fabric sofas whilst on offer and within the year had to have one of their repairers out as it started to warp in the middle of the frame as there were no feet in the middle! They did put an extra support in free of charge though and is fine now.

I find leather sofas easier to clean than fabric - we have an 18 month old and used to have a dog, and our leather sofa still looks really good, nearly 9 years down the line. Just give it a wipe with a baby wipe and stains/food etc come off really easily.

To the OP, no one really makes sofas out of hardwood any more, ply is now the standard unfortunately.

You cant just wipe all leather sofa's like that. Theres no way in hell i would wipe mine with a baby wipe, it would damage it

I bought it from a big sofa company, can't remember the name of it. Im sure I paid for both 2 & 3 seater about £2,000 or maybe just under that. must look out the paperwork when I get home.

I sit on the 2 seater more and it has just started to get marks on it, but that is just the part I sit at most. but thats 5 years of sitting on same spot so can't complain really.

Oh and I like your Icon. fingers crossed for tonight :) will be watching online (i hope)

We recently had a repair carried out on our sofa by a qualified upholsterer who specifically recommended them (alcohol free ones), so I guess I will take his advice over yours, no offence.

Looks like they've sold out of the 3 seater

I bought 2 x 2seaters & an armchair 2years ago. rrp about £4k but was on sp offer £1800 for all 3. Beautiful quality leather, it does scratch slightly but that is part of the distressed look. I use leather cream feed every 6-9 months to keep in top condition, really pleased with them.

Going having a look tonight in store so will let you know what there like.

Does anyone know what they warranty is on these?

I have 4 kids or soon to have 4 and wait for it, I have cream leather sofas, real ones. They cost some money but look the part, wipe clan etc. As long as you look after them much easier than fabric. However the people I find who struggle are the people who get the cheap crappy half plastic ones. They just look crap after a year.

Btw as leather is you know the skin of an animal and not reproduced in a factory like plastic, it will have marks, grains etc as described above, as it's skin!!!!!!! Huge sheets of animal skin! That's how you can tell the real deal from plastic. Also the difference is they stay cool in summer, warm in winter, love leather sofas.
