Swine flu is just another variant of infleunza A so if it does work against contact transmission of flu it will work with this new H1N1 variant.

Science Friday did a recent podcast on flu and cold transmission that you may like to check out.

Also, the EBI has a page summarising some information about this particular strain

They're doing Dettol wipes at Tesco half price, I think they were about 89p for a 40 pack also the antibac surface spray (tesco own brand one) was reduced to 73p, so I got a few of each before they all sell out with the 'swine flu' lol

I believe the one tesco is doing for half price is only the Dettol M/Action Wipes Green Apple 48 Pack as I couldn't find the others online half price only this one.

My GF is a manager at a large supermarket chain and she told me that sales of anti-bacterial scrubs/wipes etc have risen over 2000% since the swine-flu panic has kicked off. Even these crazy-cheap reductions will be turning in huge profits!

It'll die down soon enough. When that Hugh-Something-Whittingfluff man raised awareness about poorly looked after chickens, organic chicken sales rose 200% ... for a whole 10 days, before everything went back to normal

As soon as the excitement dies down, these prices will go back to normal, as will sales figures
