Dettol No Touch Hand Soap System £4.99 use voucher and its £1.99 @ Tesco

yellowplumyellowplum

Tesco are selling the Dettol No Touch hand wash system for £4.99 (half price), but you can get it for £1.99 if you use a coupon.

http://www.planet-health-schools.co.uk/downloads/Dettol_My_Planet_Health_booklet.pdf

It is also available for £5 in Sainsbury's half price, so works out at an extra penny.

The refills are expensive but you as someone said previously you can heat the bottle up (in a bowl of hot water) for 10 mins and the lid will just pop off, refill with your favourite hand wash product.

The only change I can see to the product is that Dettol have added an eject button on the rear of the product (not sure what the difference is...maybe someone else can answer that one)

I made a hole on the top of the bottle and refilled it there.
If u don't want to see the hole then plug it in with an old perfume bottle plug, those small ones :))

I have only refilled it once (had the silver one the first time) and it was easy to pop the lid off and refill it.

Though as I said above not sure what the new eject button is for, maybe RB cottoned on to people refilling it and decided to put an eject button that kills the bottle

the refill soap is like£1.99,i prised the lid of and refilled it,worked for a few days and now constantly sprays the soap out when turned on! so i bined it! waste of time and money!

These are good little gadgets, after preparing stuff in the kitchen or after gardening stops the dispenser getting covered in gunk and muck , encourages the kids to wash there hands too which is a bonus

Just drilled a hole it the top of ours to refill

Pointless gimmick. You turn on your clean tap with dirty hands, you get soap without touching the dispenser, wash you hour hands, return to your now dirty tap. Or am I missing something do most houses have no touch taps now?

Great for encouraging children to wash their hands. I've refilled mine 4 times so far without any problems.

When I first saw this advertised it struck me what a completely pointless device it was with very obvious flaws.

No surprise to find one at my mother-in-law's place then.

Yes that bit is pointless as you say, but there are other uses for it like i mentioned abive

When you press a soap pump you wash your hands after anyway! Daft gimmick. Hot price though!

I had to refill mine the same day I bought it!! My 5 year old emptied it and the batteries in 10 minutes of using it!! Great incentive to get the kids washing their hands though :D

We used to use bars of soap which just ended up getting mushy even if we put it inside a soap dish (which collected water and made it worse), and after you've put your messy hands over it, left dirty water in the dish. No biggy from the hygiene police, as you said, the soap will kill the germs, but not very nice to look at and messy. Pump action soap dispenser didn't help, the young kids struggled to push the top down so we found they used it far less. Since we got one of the no touch things in Nov when we first noticed the offer, the kids use it all the time. Its just a bit of fun for small and big kids alike. At £1.99 its not exactly a rip off considering not much different in price than a decent liquid soap. BTW, we have levers on our taps big enough to push with your wrists to turn on an off, so we don't need to touch the tap either. So for us, it works.

Ours all have eject buttons on the back and it just seems to stop it from being pulled off unintentionally (how or why I dont know). Doesnt kill it, so not to worry about it. We've already refilled ours so if it is a refill prevention feature, its not working very well. We actually refill it by taking the nozzle cap off the end of a full pump action soap bottle and then pumping the soap inside (bit odd I know). A bit messy (the soap can leak out) and you have to take a break every so often to release the pressure built up inside the no-touch container, but its another way of refilling if you dont want to drill a hole in the top or cant pop the lid off.

Touch the dirty door handle as you leave which someone who hasnt washed their hands has touched, or other germ ridden things around the house. Why bother in the first place eh?

Don't like the device, tried it once, had a brownish gunk come out the base, the battery compartment isn't sealed very well, water got in, brown gunk came out, product binned.

I don't understand why we are so serious about a few germs? Exposure is good for us, live in a germ free environment long enough and you will make yourself susceptible to everything. Keep it up and we will all end up dying like the aliens do in the War of the Worlds. :/
