I don' t understand how it reduces bacteria. Even if the press down bit has bacteria on it, it would vanish as you wash your hands. IYSWIM :)

Pointless, the reason they're a pound. When do we get the no touch taps? Surely they'd be the bigger problem as you'll have touched them with a dirty hand and would need to touch again after washing.

i agree said this to the missus and she realised they were no good really,yes you can get no touch taps but you'd really have to not touch ANYTHING to TRY and avoid germs and even then you would still get germs.

stupid product great price for the handwash and batteries.

This gets posted once every month I'm sure and it always gets voted hot. I can see how it has a novelty factor but... Its an automatic soap dispenser. It depresses me immensely every time I see it posted.

These are great if you have a toddler who finds handwash pumps hard to use, as most do.

Pop the lid (the end with the valve) in very hot (not boiling) water for 20 seconds & it will come off easily with a pull, then fill with another handwash that will come at a much cheaper price!

I recommend getting one of a similar consistency (or thinner) to the original though, it clogs up otherwise.

For the more adventurous amongst you, you can also open the case, then the pump mechanism & put a piece of rubber cut to size in the pump, meaning you get a much more appropriate amount of soap instead of the rather liberal amount it gives you as standard, this isnt difficult for anyone who is used to opening stuff & seeing how it works!
