Devon Chalets Mon-Fri only £59.00 Enjoy the fine weather this week @ Park Holidays

simessimes

Park Holidays have some great prices for accomodation for this week ( Monday to Friday)
2 Bed chalets start at £59 and this INCLUDES gas/electric , bed linen and entertainment passes .

They have a particularly nice looking platinum suite at Landscove in Brixham for only £77.11 . This suite even has a 32" plasma in the bedroom and a 42" plasma in the lounge ( it sleeps up to 4 persons).

Great bargains considering the weather this coming week is forcast to be non-stop sunshine.
I have booked for the Riviera park in Brixham ( though have had to book bronze accomodation because we are taking the dog)

We've stayed there a couple of years ago its got a really nice beach at the bottom of the cliff that can only be reached on foot, its a serious work out to get there and back but worth the effort, no diesel engine noise from ice cream vans or donkeys dropping pro just lovely views of boats passing by and the sound of the sea.

Do these campsite have any rules about single people staying here? A friend is talking about going on his own so he can work on a report for work without any distractions.

    Is this a euphemism ?

It is cheap but some shocking reviews on tripadvisor about the cleanliness of the place. I was going to book but I wont now.

Like most holiday parks they have mixed reviews - hardly shocking. Haven's flagship park - Devon Cliffs gets the same 3.5 star average score on tripadvisor.
Most reviews for Riviera bay and Landscove seem to say the chalets are clean and the location is excellent. The £59 chalets are £600+ for a week in August !! I guess if i were paying that much i would expect more..

OMG, the reviews have put me off!!!

Why do people have to live like animals when it is not their property and ruin if for others. Why do drunk men wee in cupboards? :p

For the money, these are really good deals. The accomodation is never going to be an amazing standard, but then it's not what these holidays are all about. Just go with the mindset it's better than camping, not as good as a hotel...
There is a really pretty unspoilt sandy beach and lovely headland 5 minutes walk away, plus you're only 5 minutes drive from Brixham town centre, the harbour, the breakwater, etc.

Stayed at Riviera for summer hols for the last two years.. and going back again this summer.. the Chalets are basic, but clean and functional - there's loads of activities for the kids and the staff (or cast, or whatever they are calling themselves this year) are superb.. and the place doesn't fill up with Chav's or parents who use the evening entertainment as an excuse to get ratted whilst the kids run wild (..sorry, mentally scarred from staying at a couple of Haven places!)

The location itself is fantastic - wonderful views, it's quiet and as one of the other posters mentioned, it's only a few minutes from Brixham harbour.. Berry Head is a couple of minutes walk away (closer from Landscove) and there's plenty do to in the neighbouring areas... The model village, Kent's Caverns, etc..

(and no.. I'm not employed by the Torbay Tourist board :))

Stayed here with my son when he was 2 (4 years ago). Was in September, and had been pretty wet the previous week. The stairs to the beach were treacherous, so I didn't bother trying with my son.
There is a bus into town on the half-hour, apart from lunch times, and it was a pretty good walk if you decided to try it by foot.
It's situated on the top of a hill which is pretty steep, meaning its not to bad on the way into town but a real workout on the way back, especially pushing a pushchair.

Think that means all male or all female parties.
