Voted hott from me.. for the price, seems a good MB.

Supports crossfire, can have a quad processor and 3 pci slots. would suit me fine. Shame the ram can't be at a higher spec but it's good for the money.

cheers

It looks absolutely beautiful, but as lumorok said, it's only DDR2, anyway, still hot!

A stupid question but does that raised heatsink fit outside of the case?

Yes.

DDR3 is pointless on 775 atm anyway.

Good price for a mega board.

DFI motherboards are the best in the business for overclocking and general tinkering. DDR2 motherboards are fine for Skt 775, I would only go DDR3 for an i7 board as the cost of getting good DDR3 is still quite high comparatively.

I came so close to buying this as a replacement board before buying an gigabyte ep45-ds3r from them for £80 instead.

I came to the conclusion that it is still quite expensive for what is essentially now 'old' technology. We will see if I regret that decision, as it looks soooo nice.

Don't get me wrong it is a good price, but unless you are serious about a crossfire setup and you want to over clock to the limit. I just couldn't help but think that X58 boards will be that price sooner rather than later.

Awww that's the board I was after when I saw it on their site for £80. I don't really know much about motherboards so held off while I did a bit of research and in that time they bumped up the price, bummer. Ah well will just have to wait for another deal to come around, not in any rush.

Patience and all that..... there is bound to be another price drop in this stuff soon. Because it all went up in price due to the pound, loads of people must be holding off and that cant be good for business. I reckon this deal must have been to clear held stock.

I was surprised when the order went through to be honest, as it had gone out of stock really quickly, I entered my email for them to notify me, and then they came back in stock for an afternoon, not long after my order they went out and the price went up. They were doing the DS4 for £100 that I missed as well.

They have some really good prices on their special offer motherboards, asked them to notify me when a different board came back into stock, which it did but then I realised it was a board that only supported ddr3.

Thinking about going for this board because it seems to get pretty good reviews and its cheap. I'm a real big novice when it comes to all this stuff so I'm just going from review to review. IP35, IP45, X48 what the hell does it all mean, lol.

It really depends on what you want to do with your computer? Are you interested in gaming? overclocking? Running multiple graphics cards? Or just office duties?

The reason they release so many is because each group of PC enthusiasts are fussy and want or need a particular bunch of features at a particular price point.

pm me and I can fire off a few recommendations. Either that or go to a good techy forum and ask around. (Remember to tell them in your post what you want from your comp though!)
