I know cheap make monitor, but wanted this resolution for music software rather than gaming. Best price I have seen other than taking a risk on a Korean import off ebay. Only 4 left at this price but the normal price is only £20ish more. Postage is not the cheapest but still works out way cheaper than most 2560x1440 monitors.

I don't know much about this stuff but wouldn't it be cheaper to connect computer to same size full hd led tv?

Full HD is only 1920 x 1080 so it wouldnt be as much a resolution unfortunately.

you would not only need an epic graphics card to power games on this thing, but previous dgm monitors have not really been up to scratch, but i guess you pays for what you get.

I've also had bad experiences with DGM. That said this is a good price. I'm sure this was posted last week.

Using one of these screens right now, really good for the money, very sharp, no dead pixels, good backlight, well worth the money, delivery is over £10 though.

Most of the slightly cheaper ones from Korea only have a DVI-D input which means you need a fairly specific graphics card to run them, this one has VGA and HDMI (and DVI-D/I) and display port I think.

As stated I'm not interested in gaming, if I was I think you would want to spend a few hundred more and get a better monitor. But if like me you use music software then I think this is a good option. Can't wait to see how much of Reason 7 I can get on this screen..

Not expecting this to go Hot but if it helps a few people out then job done.

The reviews are pretty good, but it sounds like a replacement stand is a must.

sorry thought it was a deal of the day at this price, but yes it was posted 3 weeks ago. My mistake.

Also the picture on the site shows a clear stand with a square base, it's not. It's a black stand with a oval base, as long as you have a solid desk it does not wobble really.

Id be worried then as to what model you have been supplied with and perhaps check it. All the reviews on the model they specify on the site (IPS-2701WPH) all show a clear stand with square base, not an oval base. I have to say, the reviews on this monitor are not as bad as I would have thought considering my previous experience with DGM. There are some cons, but they are mostly things that you could forgive it for given the price.

The sticker tells me it's the correct model.

However now I look closely compared the the reviews they have redesigned the stand, it now mounts in the back.middle of the screen using the mounting holes and the screen can be turned left and right (swivels). However the model number remains the same. Maybe its why mine is more stable.

If you linked to a TV you would have to pay the TV licence where if you only have a monitor in your house, you can watch catch-up for free.

A little update on quality..the blue LED that tells you it's turned on (the one that gets electrical tape over it) has decided to die..what a waste of electrical tape..
