Matty18Matty18

It has been over a decade since the last Diablo PC game was released – Diablo II hit the shelves at the turn of the millennium to rave reviews and at the time took the Guinness World Record for fastest selling computer game ever. Its popularity has been maintained ever since, with up to 11 million users still playing Diablo II over Battle.net. It’s no surprise then that Diablo III should be one of the most highly anticipated video game releases of 2012. Taking place in Sanctuary 20 years after it was saved by the protagonists of Diablo II, Diablo III introduces the player to a new generation of heroes who must take up the mantle left by their predecessors to combat forces of evil that threaten to tear the world apart once more. With all new features, classes and graphics, Diablo III is sure to be a favourite of new and seasoned players alike.

Some Play trader was selling it for £19.99 2 days ago (yes brand new). Gutted that I missed out. Damn recession!

You guys have missed out! Most of us completed all the modes already and it's boring now :l

Skipping Diablo in favour of Guild Wars 2.
Knew it would never live up to expectations / usual Blizzard hype.

Really debating whether to buy it or not... I keep getting told this is hugely disappointing but then I still desperately want to play it...

Just with the steam sale on I wonder if I should just keep my money and spend it on better stuff...

My question is, what do I do...

Tried the starter edition, found it repetitive and boring, even my friends who were initially obsessed with it no longer play it and found it disappointing compared to Diablo II. Also this is still the same price it came out at so voted cold.

Fun game for Normal to Hell mode...inferno is stupid. no fun, no replay ability like d2. Only plus is that i am trying to get my money back by selling items for real money.

Wouldn't recommend buying this i am afraid.

How long does order confirmation take to come through? Ordered around half an hour ago and still nothing.

Wouldn't be too bothered if it didn't turn up only I also plonked in some gift vouchers, too, to myself and so would be nice to have the codes!

I found out the hard way that Play trader was a scammer fishing for credit card details. I guess if something seems too good to be true, it usually is.....!

Yup, I'm up to about 130 hours, so for 50 quid its more than paid for itself.

I have one char at 3rd play through - 4 others on 2nd (Hell). Lots to fiddle and find yet. Cheevos, abilitys skills.

A ton of yong people raced linearly through the game (like they do having sex) rinsing it out and wham bam thank you ma'am in a couple of weeks. Missing the point that the journing was the game, not getting to the end :) I play online with a guy on co-op for work, never reads the text, never checks all the crates/chest - just run run run. Great game. One of the best ever made. If you are a gamer, you _have_ to play this or you've missed one of the iconic expreiences in gaming. A classic.

Too easy tbh, big disappointment. You have to go through 2-3 times before it even offers any challenge :/

Very Little depth kill bosses end Act kill bosses end act rinse and repeat till 60. I suppose its a Marmite of the gaming world you either love it or hate it.

Cheers for this, I was going to buy it from a CD key website for 37 quid.
