Well everyone was waiting for a sub-£30 price point. So here it is. It should warm up a bit in here. Thanks, OP.

How very useful.

Edit,

I'd prefer the boxed version, even if it is a few quid more.

Hot due to price (I paid 35) but I agree it is the most tedious game I've ever bought. I said to a couple of friends on vent last time I played "I'm logging off now to watch some paint dry". They both haven't played it since either...emperors new clothes analogy

What did you expect from the series? It is a hack and slash, grind and upgrade/sell loot game. The fun comes in doing the instances/dungeons together. You take the game as serious as you like. The idea of playing with friends is what makes it great. You find loot you don't need, maybe your friend does. Advance through the game together. At least there are no subs for you to pay, you may return to it in the future.
#35
Well this game is a major regression than the second one in many ways such as crappy uniques, wrong itemization choices, simple(not in a good way) and limiting character development system. well not to mention bugs and many game economy-wrecking exploits... I agree, it is fun to play with friends but after a while you hit the act 3 inferno, it stops being fun and becomes continuously frustrating due to extremely minimal chances of getting decent loot. I used to be optimistic about the future patches, but it's getting harder to keep the hopes high every passing day.

Deal was semi-hot, but since you hold it this far, I suggest you to wait a bit longer till you get good feedback from players.

I think you'll be disappointed with this game if you're just a casual gamer. Either way you'll get your money's worth. I've put in 100+ hours (and counting) and bought it for £32!

However, like I said, casual gamers tend to be disappointed when the game gets tougher.

Also, the threads stating that items get worse after the 1.0.3 patch are BS in my opinion. I've been getting much better items and I'm farming Act 1 Inferno. I've had at least 2 1.1k DPS+ items amongst other equipment. I'm not a Blizzard fan boi in the slightest, but most of the people that whine on the forums are those that are too busy crying to actually play the game. Players I talk to in-game are much more reasonable and less "QQ".

Tbh you're experiencing exactly what the threads reported, people farming Act 1 get much better items frequently, but in Act 2/3 the drops have been nerfed a lot.

Good one for noticing :)

Ahh gotcha.. I figured they were complaining about drops in general heh.

Meh, I'm not complaining.. I can't even get past Act 3 yet :P

They literally broke the loot mechanism in act 3 and 4 with 1.03 patch, and admitted it on the bnet forums. So if you've been farming act 1 then you should be OK, problem is in the last 2 acts. They said they will be fixing it in 1.04. So like a month later or so. I guess you could see what I mean...

Though it is less fun than the final state of D2+LOD, the game is not that bad altogether, and might be even better in the future.

Edit: They actually fixed the bug with a hotfix. So it seems there is still hope...

Yes, mine was sent today at £27.80! And the £2.24 cashback has tracked which should make it £25.56. Good stuff.
