No confirmed date for this yet, but a good price with a pre-order price guarantee, and Amazon do not charge you till it ships. The price will probably shoot up to £30+ (like Starcraft II did) once we get closer to release.

* Five powerful character classes to choose from, including the barbarian and witch doctor
* Brand-new 3D graphics engine enhanced with spectacular visual effects and Havok physics
* Numerous indoor and outdoor areas detailing new regions in the world of Sanctuary
* Interactive environments with dangerous traps and obstacles, and destructible elements
* Randomly generated worlds bolstered by scripted events for endless and dynamic gameplay
* Vast assortment of fiendish monsters, with unique attack patterns and behaviors
* New quest system and character-customisation options for the ultimate action RPG experience
* Multiplayer online functionality with support for cooperative and competitive play

It is very hard for people to find old deals on here though, so in my opinion it is worth informing people now/again. I'm also sure this price will shoot up to over £30+ the closer we get to release.

still likely 12 months or more to wait until we see the game, but it is a good price compared to the expected £30-35 it will be around launch
#6
Thanks for the heads up.

You must be joking....its difficult to type "diablo" in the search box and hit enter....I think not.

Is it still a good deal? yes.
Is it more than 2 weeks since it was last posted? yes.

What the hell is all the arguing about?
#9
Been waiting a very very very very long time for this game, meanwhile have been playing D2 could never get bored of it :)...

just pre-ordered three, if amazon takes the payment when they actually have it what happens if my credit card expires before then? cause it will.

Quality deal,

Thanks for this been waiting a long time for this game :-)
#11
damn this post just makes me feel impatient
#12
I want this game now, this post is a kind of mild taunt :(
#13
Does anyone remember what the pre-order price for Starcraft 2 was? I remember it being quite low, and now I want to buy it, its too expensive (out of principal) to purchase, so I'll wait till it drops a little. If the same thing happens in this situation, I might pre-order...
#14
Diablo 3 wont be out for at least another year. Just an FYI :)
#15
lol this still isn't out?
remember playing diabloII for many years and every patch was the same.. late
#16
Thanks for taking the time to post... Heat.

I would be advised though.. Amazon have always had issues with ensuring my preorders with popular titles.

Perhaps im just unlucky :)
#17
awesome, torchlight will do while waiting!

I dont think the preorder price for SC was ever very low and has cnsistently been up on about the £30-35 mark. This deal has been posted plenty of times and has been the same for at least a year. Still agree its good if you wnat to preorder to avoid the inevitable price rise as Blizz seem intent on gouging people.

The release date is looking like end of 2011 or 2012. Its probably closed to finished now, so its a question of commercial timing. Next target is to manage squeezing as much life and money out of people for Cataclysm, whilst continuing to milk SC2, which also has 2 expansions planned.
#19
The SC2 preorder price before the release date was announced was about £25. I even had it on preorder and then cancelled, which I kicked myself a bit for...
#20
Yeah, now £25 is more reasonable for a new pc game. I don't remember very many games costing more than £30 new. Modern Warfare 2 being an exception, but I guess Activision seem to think they have licenses to print money these days with their acquisition of Blizzard...actually they're right...
#21
Very hot.
#22
I so want this game, as said by others D2 was great. Dont suppose there is any chance they will bring it out on 360? I have a single core PC nowadays that struggles to play youtube videos and it seems terribly wasteful to build a new PC for 1 game :(

this'll be a pay monthly thing right? :( anyone wanna level up from level 1 with a noob necro? :D

Sad that it has less than a third of the heat. :(

No, it's not a MMORPG. It doesn't look like they're changing the formula much from the previous games so it will be basically a single-player hack-and-slash RPG with co-op multiplayer. Don't get me wrong, I loved Diablo II, but playing it did essentially consist solely of clicking on things to make them die for 40 hours.

cold deal, same price as Tesco's and they promise to lower the charged price to match anyone else on day of release

Cheers, Tesco is infact cheaper if you use code FTSL15-1 for 15% off, making it £19.52.

Who would be even thinking of Diablo III this far out to type it in? By that logic the same person could also type Diablo into Amazon's website and find it. I thought the idea was to find deals that could be hidden away and post them, not have to defend yourself from idiots with dumb questions

Very few people would be thinking of Diablo right now unless they saw it on the front page of this site, and that might compel them to preorder when it is cheap. That's is why I posted.

If you have nothing better to say please keep your mouth shut

I know you are lacking ideas to find anything helpful to post in the thread, but please dont assume what I "must be" doing and use it as a reason to post something inane.

Thanks man, just canceled my three amazon orders and ordered through Tesco for £58.56 (saved around £10 for three) with 136 clubcard points and 8% topcashback :)

Damn it, I forgot about cashback ><

8% is quite substantial too!
Looks like i'm going to have to re-register with tesco entertainment, so I can reuse the 15% code ><
All to get a few pennies (actually, £1.56!) cashback >< is it reallllllllly worth it :S

:edit:

Meh, can't be bothered with all the re-registering needed to get another discount code, just to qualify for the cashback.
I'm just going to tell myself that it would have been rejected anyway, because a) it's a pre-order, b) I was using a discount code anyway.

:) depends how many your ordering, if its for one I probably wouldn't bother :P never used tescos entertainment before, dont know how reliable their cashback is, you also get tescos clubcard points not sure how it works some how I got 136 points from £59 spent. :)

The Blizzard release schedule, either 'Soon™' or 'When it's ready'. Whether that is still the case since the Activision buyout, we shall see!
#34
theres a rumor that it will be released in summer to autumn in 2011
#35
So yeah, I am glad I preordered back then. Thanks!
