Can someone confirm please if this is suitable for an adult only using goggle, it suggests that 18" is for a 9-14 year old and not an adult. Thanks.

i think you may have looked at 18" wheels, this is an 18" frame, suitable for adults

great thanks, just ordered one as an xmas present.

I ride a bike with an 18" frame and it will be suitable for somebody approximately 5'10 - 6'1 tall . This is approximate as obviously people have different leg lengths.
#8
looks alright for a road bike, componentry looks very cheap so I wouldn't ride it off road.
#9
Would this be a good bike for a 2 mile road commute with steep hills?
#10
Ha downhill yeah right!

Will be good for a commute joylove but I wouldn't get too adventureous on it if I were you.

It's a half decent entry level bike, & will do you fine for a short commute. Halfords sells a (close) version of this bike with the same kit (just has a cheap front disk & different graphics) for £199, comparing it to what you normally get at this price range it's very good value.
I'm a bike mechanic & actually serviced one of these bikes earlier today & test rode it afterwards, it's no where near my bike in feel or performance (2k Hardtail) but as a general light use bike it's pretty good at this price range.
