They sell these for £29.99 at Screwfix so £79.99 is a bit of a stretch. Also this Sunday Aldi are selling their version for £14.99. The only difference being the badge and the top lace eyelet is a metal one.

Good deal if you need a certain brand label though.

I hate how Amacon state these stupid original prices. These boots are usually £30 direct from Dickies
is it the best deal?
As mentioned these are normally £25-30. Also, if you work in a trade or construction, don't expect these to last more than a year.
Tempted by these.
Tempted by these.

Are you tempted by dickies?

Got to disagree. Mine have lasted over 15 months. I don't see them lasting years on site but for a maintenance man like myself they are the dogs. I've worn mine constantly and have no issues other than I've worn them out so now need another pair.
Just bought a pair for hubby...hope they are good or he'll go in the huff.......not that, that would be unusual !

Love the typo LOL
Dickies boots i had were crap and gave blisters. Scruffs boots are much better and can be found around the same price
Bought these from Screwfix, they ended up in the wheelie bin within a week. They fell apart soon after I bought them and they have to be the most uncomfortable work boots I've ever worn. They are very heavy too.

See all those little gimmicky silver triangle things? I think they're held on with Pritt Stick. As soon as they come into contact with anything they fall off.

Never has the saying 'buy cheap, buy twice' been more apt. As others have said, invest in a proper pair of industrial boots that will last.
I have a pair of these for going to watch footy and they've lasted a season and still look new. They were £17.95 new off eBay so dunno where the £80 price comes from. If I was using for industrial purposes, I'd value my feet more than £20 but for footy crowds and for people stepping on toes - ideal.
£17.49 from Makro if you have a card.
Or online http://store.makro.co.uk/p-10000-dickies-mens-storm-safety-trainer-grey.aspx
No idea what delivery is like though for shipping.
