"Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis?"

When pint-sized Gary Coleman uttered that phrase to his TV brother, played by Todd Bridges, audiences were hooked and a star was born. But the show's popularity was based on more than the rise of the diminutive, wisecracking Coleman. DIFF'RENT STROKES was a pop-culture phenomenon that broke through cultural barriers as well.

The story of two African-American kids from Harlem who move to Park Avenue to live with a wealthy white widower (Conrad Bain) and his precocious teenage daughter (Dana Plato) not only gave audiences lots to laugh about but gave them something to talk about. Along with their no-nonsense housekeeper (Charlotte Rae), this group was anything but average - but they reflected the changing face of the American family and brought issues of race and class into households across the nation.

Finally available on DVD, this three-disc set collects all twenty-four episodes from the hilarious first season. Now you can experience all of the fun of DIFF'RENT STROKES again!

"Well the world don't move,
To the beat of just one drum.
What might be right for you,
might not be right for some!!'
classic theme tune
fantastic price and programme, heat and rep xx
I watched this as a kid, and I remember even back then the novelty wore off pretty quick. I don't think it will have aged well. What next, My Two Dads? Mind you, they're still dishing up dross like Hanna Montanna and The Suite Life so maybe I'm being a bit harsh. That said, it's nice to see Todd Bridges working again in Everybody Hates Chris :-D
Watched one recently, i used to love it but it's pretty bad in hindsight. But then most old favourites are like that. Course it's a hot deal though
mr drummond you pervert
Heat from me.
What'chu talkin' 'bout my avatar? ;-)
Have some HEAT....was about to order this on Amazon for 9 quid...:)
