Advice Noted Showman36, but there is about a £130 difference..which brings me to the question of,

Why is the humax so much better than this one? as to me this looks like quite a good deal.

Google a few reviews of both players then ask me the question again:-D

Excellent price!

Just for information for anyone thinking of buying, this is a single tuner device. The FVRT100, 150 and 200 are two tuner devices which allow you to record one channel while you watch another. This is not possible with the FVRT95.

or get sky plus/tivo its pricey but brilliant

The Humax 9200t has twin freeview tuners which allows you to record 2 different programs on freeview and watch a third has a 160gb hard drive and allows you to start watching the beginning of a recording before its finished has P.I.P and the firmware is updated regularly and it has a usb port to connect directly to your pc its an awesome bit of kit.the only thing better is a Topfield but your going up in price again then.

I have this very device (bought from Argos earlier this year). I am happy with it. Single tuner is not an issue for me as I have a TV with freeview built in. Couldn't live without it now!

Great price, great find.

the thompson dhd4000 is another very good one which was under£100 not so long ago. it does all kinds like 14 day guide. view the beginning of a programe while still recording, time slip thingy, 2 tuners, etc so happy with mine its untrue better than sky+ in many ways. silly but now essential things like having a preview box that shows what is on a channel while using the programme guide make it a dream to use. it is also very easy to upgrade the harddrive.

Same here.. might not sound like much, but it's the difference between me proceeding with the order or not

OK, I know the reason.

I checked the price this afternoon after Gummo pointed out and this item was in the "2h deal" list today. Hence the lower price.

Now its back to the original price. Sorry guys ;-)

Sorry none of the PVR's (Personnel Video Recorders) that are currently for sale can record from an external source (apart from one the TIVO) they can only record internally

The only way you could record an external source is with either a VCR or a DVD/HDD Recorder

Be careful with these boxes, I have been reading on Digital Spy that a lot of these freeze up, a lot of people have had 2,3 or even 4 replacements, as these are refurbished the same problem might occur.
