1 year warranty. at that price your not going to get 5.
This is a stop gap till next year when hdr and 10 bit are better established and cheaper
If it's no good I'll send it back as it's a online purchase.

Did get 3000 nectar point as well so another £15 off.

No it will likely look worse due to the larger area the pixels have to cover.

So what's the point in a new amazing 4K to if it makes pictures worse?

Because it will look MUCH better with a 4k input source, just like how standard definition looks bad on HDTVs

I bought this the last time round great 4K TV for the price!
Only one gripe lack of apps and how to get new ones onto it!

Does it upscale

Does it upscale
OF COURSE IT UPSCALES
If it didn't it would show1080 broadcasts in a small box in the centre of the screen and standard def in an even smaller box in the centre :D.

I would rather have the 1080p version of this TV as the vast majority of what you will watch will look better . It will be years before 4k broadcasts are the norm ( the vast majority are not even 1080p yet )

Thanks for the reply Simes. The reason i ask about upscale as i have seen adverts where the retailer describes it as a "bonus" which makes the picture quality better - not something that's standard. I am new to this so not sure the best way to asses TV's but I am looking to buy a Smart TV for mostly streaming and on demand catch up. Are you saying it's not worth getting this one? Are there any other suggestions of what i should look for a good quality viewing experience for my purposes. I would like it to be 47" will 1080p HD be ok for this? thanks a lot

To the best of my knowledge some tvs upscale by just doubling up the pixels and then just display them.
Some tvs (i even have a hdmi lead with bits in it) have a chip that tries to calculate a better picture by assessing the dots in between the pixels and displaying what it thinks the pixel would look like. This may help improve the image but sometimes these tweaks can make the image look funky if it done incorrectly (and look worse that a doubling up) . This will never be as good a real 4k but i guess if the software is any good it may be better than just doubling up the pixels. Some tv do it better than others and I have no idea how this tv compares to the rest.
some networks are streaming 4k already on a few shows (i believe) but still not sure when we will see this as standard. Could be a few years.

ok received TV and it is fine. Like most tvs standard def is a bit naff but then again standard def is naff.
with hd broardcast it is fine.
it is fine with 720 and 1080 streamed from a computer.

Did contact co op as it did state that there were 3 hdmi sockets (on the product page) and there were only 2 on the set and it also stated built in wifi but it only has lan connection.
They did say I could return it at their cost so anyone who does not like it can get free returns because of those issues.
Would rather have a partial refund as its ok apart from those 2 point but get the feeling that they are playing on the fact you want it so will accept the tv with no refund and the fact that it will take time to pack it up.

No WI-FI is abit naff. I bought the Poloraid TV 50" for £299 at asda it is also 4K and this has wi-fi connection and the app to stream from any device such as laptop over the wifi. It is voted cold on HUKD whereas this is hot. IMO the poloraid 4K picture is good the SD not the best but a worthy comparison

Have sent a complaint to co op as no wifi and only 2 hdmi ports. Hoping for a partial refund or upgrade (if theres one) but they seem unhelpful.
Will be leaving negative feedback on ebay if i dont get something (for their error) and I hope anyone else who purchased one does the same.
Have also pointed out that they are still selling different sized versions of this (292) so the listing are wrong even now after its been pointed out to them.
Attitude of email was "so the description wrong, so what"

Ended up getting a partial refund which i was more than happy to accept.
