sounds ok, but what decent channels can you get?. Is it worth the hassle?

A very good deal. As to channels, well.. you can choose out of several thousands of them. Also, most of Freeview channels are there, on Astra 28.2 (same satellite as Sky), so if you have Sky dish, then you can just plug the receiver to it.
The receiver is probably Comag SL65/12 (not patchable, or so I heard) and it is very easy to use (I have one of these in kids room).

Anyone got a larger jpeg of this set?

This is the largest I've found:

What is the catch please?
#6
Small dish is the drawback. The LNB is probably 0.6dB or similar.

But I can feed it off the quod LNB from the sky dish?
#8
Yes you can. But if you're planning to do this, then just buy Fortec Star Beta satbox from Maplin for 29.99 and that's it.

I can pick up all the unencrypted Euro channels for 30 quid? Well the ones on Astra? I'm really interested in picking up european football.

Yes. I posted a link to the deal here some time ago. It is still valid, I believe.

I'm really interested in picking up european football.

Well.. I am not in footie myself, so I am not the right person to ask about sport channels, sorry.

If you have a Sky Digital dish installed, then it's pointing at Astra 2, and there is very little FTA sport on those satellites.

For £30 it is a good alternative to a Freeview box though, as there are a lot more FTA channels on Sky than on Freeview. I guess these satellite boxes don't have the TV Guide functionality that the Sky boxes have though, they'll just be plain receivers.

can you pick up all those satellites without moving the dish?

With the set up as sold, you will only get one satellite at a time.
