i've bought this last week, excellent piece of kit. Instore collection available, though hard to find stock

9V battery itself costs £2.50ish in maplin

Thank you!

how do you reserve for instore collection?
#6
You cannot, you can only check stock and then go down there... as long as they show more than 5 your normally ok!

Thanks for the Deal! Just sent someone to go pick me up 2

Cheapest place to buy the batteries online?
#15
Just been to the one off of Bishopsgate in London and picked one up. The ones on the shelf are still marked as £4.99 (i think), so I asked and it was the right one. They had about 10 on the shelf and the guy got me one from the stock room, so I guess they have a few available. Hope it helps someone in London anyway.

Careful, not all MM's are built equal. I'm afraid with these items it's a case of what you pay is what you get as far as accuracy goes. For basic use, no problem.
#17
nice one, ill call to store near me see if they have them..
#18
Thanks for this.. grabed myself a couple.. very smart. Voted Hot

For anyone that doesn't realise Maplin have a store stock checker at the bottom of their products page - you just type in your postcode.
#20
are they supplied with leads?
#21
Yup !
#22
None in Plymouth :(

(according to website)

Cheers

Purchased two of these yesterday (one for a friend). They are a basic multimeter, but are well built and seem pretty strong. The leads are pretty good, and it comes with a battery fitted. Well worth £2.97:thumbsup:

Only really needed a new set of test cables, but they were more expensive than the MM, so I bought a new one too :)

The lock and backlight are nice features but V/I ranges are a touch limited.

Ordered one on line yesterday afternoon - got it today! Great bit of kit - solid, quality controls and good instructions.

Thanks for the tip off!
