Bought one of these a few days ago, arrived this morning and I just tried it out on my RC plane. Fantastic lightweight video camera. You need a micro sd card, or you can buy this camera plus a 4GB card for £16.99.

Would also be ideal for a helmet-cam or mounting on your bike handle bars.

And at this price it doesn't matter too much if (when) you crash!

7DayShop have an example video taken with it, uploaded to youtube.

I don't think so, although I haven't looked at the manual yet, it's that obvious to use!

Although I'm not sure you'd want to, as it is 720x480 resolution. I know it's not as good as HD cams like the kodak zx1 (which I also have). The good thing about this one is the size / weight. It is tiny.

Apparently (it says on the box) you can also get it to start / stop by voice activation. I haven't tried that yet.

Yeah, they sell the veho muvi one as well and this does look similar (although this has slightly worse resolution). I went for this one for the price. At this price, it doesn't matter if (when) I crash and it breaks.

I bought this one from Ebuyer at £20 with no SD
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/foehn-hirsch-tiny-dv-camcorder-30fp/730082
so I think this 7dayshop deal is very hot.You will need the 8gb card as 2 gb only records about 20-30 mins of video.
The quality on the one I bought is amazing, I use it on the Mountain Bike, in the car & motorbike, it is very good quality at fast speeds to. I dont know if different brands are different quality though.

I'd rather pay the extra & get a warranty not just a 7day return policy.

Its a decent enough camera however it depends what your using it for. I tried using it for capturing my downhill riding but it doesn't seem to refresh quick enough on some sections.

Heres my video: Skip the first few sections as I was purposely try to crash the camera to test it.

The one I have gives better picture quality as yours seems to blur at times. I have used mine on a motorbike at speed without any bluring.
I do have the same problem as yours in that the 2008 date stamp is there. There are numerouse posts on how to update it but I havent had any success as yet in doing so.

Any idea what the battery life's like on these things?

I have a 1 hour cycle commute, would it last that and home too?

Yes, and the stills camera is more than 2mp, although I don't think the video is. Would I strap my phone on the front of my RC aircraft? No. It's too heavy, too bulky, and too expensive to lose it or damage it, and there is no way to mount it securely.

If you are getting pauses and or blurs, then try getting a faster card. If you use a class 2 card, then the transfer rates are not quick enough.

This should get very hot. Same deal reached 360 degrees when posted on Dealextreme for £13.50. Surely 7dayshop beats dealextreme?

It's the same thing as a Muvi Veho. Can mount the thing to a bike helmet or frame and go cycling - wouldn't fancy doing that with my phone.

I got the same thing for 7.50 on eBay, but for a decent UK company this is very hot.

This deal is hot though I ordered mine from ebay two days ago and paid £7.56. I am not much worried about warranty. Amazon seller is selling same with 2GB card + Reader for £14.99.
