These are just the job for weighing your cases before you go on holiday. You could spend the cost by just going a Kilo overweight. Small enough to take everywhere with you.

lol... i was thinking that myself... then i remembered I'm sure its just the Chinese translation!

This is fantastic & will do a great job by replacing my mechanical spring balance that I have used for years to weigh my checkin luggage for flights saving me paying tonnes of money to the airlines
#8
thanks for this :)

Most adults would weigh over 40kg but is ideal for weighing small kids / babies / animals...:-D

Brilliant

Been after one for a while after almost getting stung by Ryanair one time (£45). Group of 10 of us all opened our cases and spread my stuff between them. According to my bathroom scales, I was in the right of course.

Great idea for pressies
#11
got stung for $190 last month. plan on never making that mistake again. cheers!

How much baggage allowance are you allowed , i booked with Expedia and cant see it ...as its taking me on all different airlines , northwest , american and air france :?

I plan on going to the USA to buy a ton of clothes , if i fill a big 120 litre suitcase full of clothes would i be ok?

Im going soon so dont think ill order this as it seems to come from the US and may take to long to get to me

to the US its 27 kg. I was at 35kg and if i didnt take anything out they would charge $70. Took a wash bag out and he let me through
#14
If you have some good bathroom scales you can fairly accurately weigh a suitcase

1. Stand on the scales and note down your weight.
2. Pick-up the suitcase and stand on the scales again.
3. Subtract your weight from the total to get the suitcase weight.:)

erm...why not just put the suitcase on the scales?

Dooesn't really strike me as something that could really handle 40kg but will only be using it for ryanair flights which are 15kg so should do the job cheers. This will stop the constant hassle with the gf's bag every time we fly

Because then the suitcase will be covering the bit of the scales that displays the weight.

I often get post from the US in less than a week, but I haven't used this company and don't know how quick they ship. I wouldn't bank on it being with you in time, so I'd look more locally.

They quote several delivery methods on their site, and state the following, promoting their EMS express service -
'How fast is EMS Express?
While it generally takes 7 to 14 business days for air mail delivery, EMS takes about 3 to 5 business days for most countries'

I wish I had had one of these on the holiday I just returned from. The baggage allowance was a measly 15 kilos and working out how many bottles of cheap booze I could safely put in my case was difficult. You can't carry it in your cabin allowance any more due to security.

I have ordered one of these for my January holiday. Heat added.
#26
Thanks, these are great value. Other sites charge a fair bit for similar stuff.
#27
Far better value than these British Airways travel scales - £17!!

Pretty good deal seeming that I believe I paid £20 for something like this from Smith Bros back in the summer.
#31
Just ordered mine, I got stung big style last time i was on holiday for being overweight by a kilo.
#32
This'll be the next big craze with 80's rappers!
#33
Dealextreme...oh that site.
I've now bought component games console cables, 2 torches, headphones, ipod socks, a bluetooth adapter and now this.
Scary how many useful things they have on there, which undercut everyone else.
Sometimes their delivery can be 2 weeks, but my last one came in under 7 days.

Nice find!

IGNORE ME IF IT SOUDS TOO SILLY.........

DO WE HANG THE LUGGAGE AT THE HOOK AND HOLD THE SCALE IN HAND?
#35
Cheers OP.

I have one of these, bought on ebay for around £4.50 from hong kong and it looks exactly the same.
I can say that mine is very very accurate and i could not travel without it.

US - EU flights

Should be 2 bags for23kg each free.

Internal flights are less but if part of a international trip(no stop over) you should get the international allowance for the complete trip.

just tell your dad to hang on til it arrives, then he can climb in it and you could 'post' him to his destination:)

Yep it's China. They won't even despatch the item for 2/3 days (and they don't work weekends) even for in stock items so the earliest realistic (barring miracles and acts of god) is around the 5th (in my experience).

Also be prepared for these to be about as accurate as a Wembley Stadium costing quote. ;-) I mean it is Dealextreme afterall.
