thanks for this ray :)

An excellent deal ray...if anyone just wants a Dell 725 printer, and missed the 2 for £27 deal earlier this week, theyare on offer at £22 delivered.

Has anyone experience of this printer..I'm awaiting delivery but wonder how a single three colour cartridge (black, cyan and magenta) can produce all the colours...like yellow??
#4
Nice one mate.

Only another few quid as well to upgrade to 4200 processor instead of the 3800.
#5
Bargain it gets my vote " HOT "
#6
ITs an ok price but the Processor is a major put of for me , shame it did not have the Intel core 2 dual Processor then it would be a really good find.
#7
Bought this system and upgraded to the x64 5000 cpu. If your a loyal, like I was, Intel fan then you have a shock coming because with 2gb of Ram this package is a rocket ship. Plays all the games, HL2 / Far Cry etc, I have on max settings without delays or screen freezes. I was shocked by the ability of the little 7300LE card, Expected to have to cough up another £100 for a decent card but not needed!

Buy and enjoy!!
[mod]#8
Nice to hear that pdg1967, that confirms it as a bargain then, just add some ram from Crucial at a discount price and your sorted!
#9
Very tempted by this deal, but cash is tight, so is it worth making the kids go without meals this month to get the 5000+ processor over the 4200+.

The difference is £70.....

Is 2 Gig of ram not enough?!?! For now anyway....

At least it has 4 slots so plenty of room for extra RAM.

M
[mod]#11
Yes Its early I misread that it had already had 2gb ram, no extra ram needed now (well this week) as dell have seen fit to include it.

Seems to come out at £529 when I price it up.

How much can one realistically hope to sell the 19" monitor for as I don't need one ?
[mod]#13
How about this one then.
Reduce the warranty to minimum and buy via quidco for further caashback savings.

Give me a minute or ten FF99 I'm just going through all the dell deals this weekend again for price cuta and will see if I can find you a deal without monitor.
[mod]#15
OK D11E16 has dropped in price today to £529, a few others have also had prices cut and I will go though them later and post the bargains as I see them.
F99 Dell have some strange stuff going on atm, they have systems without monitors costing £2 more than ones with 19" tft and others where they just knock £50 off for no 17" tft so it may be better to either buy with monitor and sell it locally or ring dell for a quote without monitor and see whats the best price they will do, though this way you loose the Quidco!
#16
Thanks for the updates Mike :)

I guess if anyone ordered at the £20 higher price might be able to get the difference back if they contact Dell?

Many thanks ! I will wait to hear from you although this machine does seem like a good deal.
#18
Another question. Is this likely to be whisper quiet ? I think I read something about models with souped up graphics cards being a little more noisy, or did I imagine that ??
[mod]#19
It will be quiet, even the keyboard is ;-)

Some cards have fans that speed up as you demand more from them but in that case you wouldnt hear the fan above the bullets flying past your ears:giggle:
#20
They're so quiet sometimes, you don't even know they're on :)
#21
Hey guys,

I'm about to order this and want to go through Quidco...

How do I find this deal once I go through Quidco, or is there a quick find code for this system!??

Cheers

M
#22
Click through your QuidCo link, then use their eValue Code: 307 [first box] d11e16 [second box].
#23

#25
Just ordered, Christmas is coming early!!! :-D :-D

Thanks to people for spotting this deal, i'll be like a kid waiting for the tooth fairy until this arrives....

M
#26
I know how you feel :) Well worth the wait ;-)
#27
How long till the discount should show in Quidco i ordered last night still no Quidco
#28
From QuidCo Stats:

Tracking Reliability High (98% tracked, 2% enquiries of which 96% successful so far)
Payment Speed Medium (2 month avg)

#29
About two days I think it took for the printers to show on mine last week.
#30
How good is the 19" monitor that comes with it, is it worth upgrading the the ultra sharp model or can you ring up dell and try and downgrade to a high quality ultra sharp 17"?

On the dell website it registers the same price for either a 17" ultra sharp as a 19" bog standard panel that comes with this deal so would they change it?
#31
Oh a 17" ultra now I see... Umm... I think I would still prefer the 19" myself, again it's a matter of personal choice.
#32
If you call Dell but were going to buy through QuidCo, you'll not receive cashback on a telephone order, but it's worth a try if it's worth it to you :) That is if you prefer the better monitor. I've not heard anyone complain about the value monitors though.
[mod]#33
Being greedy I have one of each of the 19" monitors and although the ultrasharp is quite clearly to me the better monitor, I am happy to use the other standard one too. A 17" ultrasharp may be nice but its getting small against current standards.
#34
I use one of the E196FP monitors which was the earlier model and it is great. I reckon you should be able to sell it for about £120 on Ebay so after fees reckon to make about £100ish.
Pretty good deal but shame it's not an Intel Core2 Duo
#35
Arn't these processors supposed to be better?
[mod]#36
Here's a page full of test scores so you can see whats better at what Benchmark

For those who dont want to go looking I have posted just one here.

http://images.anandtech.com/graphs/core2duolaunch_07130680720/12575.png
#37
You can upgrade the AMD processor to the 4200 option for only £5.88. This makes it very close in performance to the low end Intel Core 2 Duo but saves you about £100.
Think I'll go for this deal.

Cheers.
#38
Thanks for the pointer to the upgrade sokelly :)
#39
Thanks for this deal Rayman, i cancelled my other order and went for this. Apart from upgraded monitor to ultrasharp, £5 processor upgrade and also graphics to X1300, came to £599 less £30 quidco I hope! :o)

:) Rep, Voted++
#40
Yes, thanks for the deal, I went for this yesterday and just upgraded the processor. The phoned me today, delivery on Monday, how fast is that!
