Strangely I normally prefer more contemporary looking things, but that is one ugly looking fire in my opinion, we have a Dimplex though (totally different design) and it cost 90 quid, thats a great price so heat added.

i thought it looked ugly in the picture but looking at it in the room it looks good the flame effect works well

Yeah, each to their own though, i voted it hot on price, but not my cup of tea, flames do look good on dimplex units, ours is a stove type this one.....

Looks nice and cosy in the fireplace with the xmas decorations up, but I can understand the appeal of the contemporary ones like in this post for those apartments that have no fire surround.
