Sssshhhh... don't tell everyone! I'm sick of them being sold out by the time I get there!
#2
Not the Oakham.....! ;-)

Thanks for the heads up.

always hot from me!

I don't know why people still buy these over-rated tv dinners :!: Yuck

I suppose if you haven't got time or can't be bothered preparing something fresh, then there's a market for this tosh.

What do you call roasting a chicken then? :w00t:

I suppose you grow, tread, mature and bottle all your own wine?

For a tenner it is a decent offer - depending on what you opt for.

Not a great fan of some of their wines though.
#8
It's hardly a tv dinner. You still have to prepare it etc depending on what you choose - like a whole chicken and veg etc. I think its a great deal and well worth it when the steaks are on yum yum

Same old statement, have you ever bought these? Usually £18 worth for a tenner and these aren't TV dinners, you have put some effort into them!
#10
I've never had this offer before but am going to try and remember to go in and get it!!
#11
Any idea what's on offer ?
#12
I love these dinners. Very healthy but convinient to cook. Chicken alone is worth at least a fiver and wine at least £3. Definately a bargain!

I think you may well get a fair bit of stick for this.

very good - I got the rotisserie marinaded chicken last time though and although good value, i wasn't overly impressed with the taste. But the Pinot Grigo was excellent as was the italian salad and lemon suffles (and you get 2 free ramikin dishes too!)
#16
whats oakham chicken like? would you recommend the £10 deal as a birthday/coming home from hospital after having baby treat?

What do they consist off? (ie: the whole deal for £10)
#17
Got a 2 kilo chicken last time worth over £8 alone, wine was £6.49, profiterole stack was £3.50 and side dish was approx £2+
For a tenner you can't go far wrong.

Usually well worth the money; you get mains for 2 (chicken, steak or fish), a decent sized side (frites, roast potatoes or mixed veg), 2 wicked individual desserts (or a mountain of profiteroles) and either bottle of wine or half a gallon of non-alcoholic juice.

I can thoroughly recommend the seabass!!

I think it would be very suitable for your requirements!!

Don't believe menu has been announced yet but will be out later today-check website frequently.

I'm gonna give this a try - £10 for a nice dinner for 2 by M&S, who make amazing food... what is the problem exactly?
#22
If it includes a good Pinot Grigio, the food doesn't have to be that good, but usually its good (if the grannies aint beaten you to all the good stuff) so bargain-tastic... and if you've earned £50 of M&S vouchers via a Sky recommend a friend its even more of a bargain :-D

...looked at the Tesco one today, very poor selection @ £9.

Snob or troll (delete as appropriate)

Not exactly microwave meals are they really. Choice between this or a takeaway on a Friday night then I opt for this everytime. Enjoy your Friday night cooking your evening away. I won't be thinking of you when I am emjoying a nice meal with my feet up.

thanks will have a look on friday, last time went in on sunday and no puddings left so didnot get it:thumbsup:
#27
menu is not as good as last time
#28
can anyone recommend a lovely 3 course, with and without alcoholic drinks
#29
Gastropub Moussaka is outstanding
#30
Love their foods but why do they only ever have the same vegetarian main course... hubby loves it but im not a goats cheese fan so i end up picking that bit off - something different would be lovely considering all the meat/fish choices yet theres only one vegetarian option *humf*

Anyway, i will of course be buying it as its cheaper than a takeaway and much much tastier!

:D

Probably best Moussake I have eaten outside of Greece or a Greek restaurant. Shame me and the wife are on a diet and it is not exactly low fat.

Love this deal! Managed to get everything we wanted this time - which is rare! Plus they had the Pinot Grigio which is lovely!! Can't see how a TV dinner consists of a roast chicken and fresh veg but hey ho! PMSL!

Anyone know if they are doing the Valetines dine in? Am not big into the day itself but the steak they had on the menu last time was gorgeous!
#33
Had the Haddock Mornay with nice veg and a galss of pinot grigio followed by a lemon soufle. If this is TV dinners then bring em on. Hope they do a valentines day one, think they did last year
