Have they sorted out the £92 visa situation yet? Can you pick it up at the airport? If not, you can only book this with a valid India visa I would have thought.

You will definitely will need a Visa for entry.
There are companies that can do visa within 2-3 days.

Great price, I've just come back from travelling in India. Happy to go again, as I still have a valid visa.

Brilliant deal, forget Palolem and head for the beach huts in the far north.

Jeez, £92 for a Visa? Thanks for pointing that out as we were considering travelling to Goa but weren't aware of the price for a Visa.

The whole visa application is a nightmare on top of the initial cost you need two passport photos ...not the normal size...and two special delivery envelopes costing £7 each one to send it in and one for them to return it...and only one passport per envelope! Travel agents recommend a company to help with this and that's another £50 per passport....and they are supposed to be encouraging travel to India?????

I did it through the official site and had my passport back within 5 days, all-in, £140 with return postage. Thankfully I'm going for 5 months though!

Can't believe people are moaning about the price of a visa. All Indian UK visa offices do a day visa service. You turn up first thing with you passport and all relevant photos and documentation, hand it over, pay the fee and collect it at the end of the day. Luckily for me I have a PIO Visa that lasts 5 years

But we don't all live near an Indian Visa office and the cost involved to get there and back to one in itself just adds to the already enormous visa costs!! Turkey and Caribbean islands just cough up when you get there or on your way out! Apparently we were going to be afforded the visa on arrival at the end of last year but rumour has it its all about retaliating for our treatment to Indian visitors to the UK?!?!?!

Still worth going its that cheap there you will save more than visa cost in a week
All ways taken my passport to visa office in London is ,it still same ie you can book appointment there online?
Only normally takes about 30/40 min at visa office then let them Currier back to me usually back in about 5 days
Never bothered paying agents to do visa so only visa cost + Currier charge
I get free rail travel though and just have day out in London while taking passports

OP, what dates did you put in for the return flight?
#17
The point is the flight is the 10th so a five day return of documents not possible??? Just pointing this out as if you have no visa entry is refused!!!

Thanks - that was my exact point. The poster has found a spectacular deal, I voted it hot. But you can't just get an Indian Visa in a day. You have to book an appointment, so, a couple of days, then they take your money which is a lot for a visa (and which I presume is exactly we charge them though our cost of living is 10 times more). Then you wait. I think I applied for my visa appointment on a Thursday, the next appointment was in Hounslow on Tuesday, I got the visa on the Monday. Cost £92 plus £7 for the post, a fiver for the photos, plus a day of your life in Hounslow plus petrol from wherever you are. Putting a deal up for three days time is brilliant for those of us with a valid visa, not those that don't. Could you imagine if someone had just booked this and presumed it was issued on arrival?

would you mind sharing your experience? I'm going in April and haven't researched yet, what were your favorite places/experiences, how did you get around and any other tips on being there?
