Ridiculous discounting for a one month old game.

This is the price games should be if possible. £40 for a game is just too much.
#15
^ I agree, I have never paid £40 for a game, it's just ridiculous.

Snap. I can't understand how anyone shells out £40 for a game, but each to their own I suppose. I think £15 to £25 is more like it for newly-released games, depending on development costs, popularity etc. Even with pricing as it is though, you don't usually have to wait that long until prices drop to that level.

Voted hot btw.

New PC games are usually around £25, but it's the same problem. They're £15 by the time you've played them twice (Portal 2 / Crysis 2 being glaring examples).
Glad to see the Witcher 2 is holding its value though 8)

I remember paying £50 for Street Fighter 2 on the mega drive with my birthday money back in the day, When you consider how much the cost of other things has risen in the past 20 years i dont see how £40 seems so staggeringly high to some people. I am waiting for this to go sub £20 before i get it though :p

I remember desperately wanting Road Runner: Death Valley Rally on the Snes. It was £59.99!
Eventually I got a US copy which someone traded in at my local. It was an atrocious game lol. Another major disappointment was Joe and Mac: Caveman Ninja :p

Can't believe how much games used to cost.

Best game i have ever played.

Is that sarcasm or genuine? I've read (on here so Im sceptical!) that its no better than Dirt2 so I was going to go for that instead, at this price I'm now thinking I might be better getting this?

I was lucky to have well off mates of mates who would buy them, play them, get bored and sell them on to me for a fraction of the cost after a few weeks!! Remember the lads mum saying to me once, "you're not taking advantage of him are you?" my answer "of course not" as I walked away with an imported Japanese version of Street Fighter 2 Turbo for £15 that he had bought only a month prior for £69.99!!

Genuine, online party mode is the best. Most fun online since PGR 3.

good price, thanks op. Really enjoyed dir 1 & 2, the reviews look good for this one too

I almost jumped at £29.99. Just managed to resist £24.99, but this one got me. Ordered.

From what I've read Rally again meant to be not as much as hoped, but DLC on way (Monte Carlo Rally released next week as DLC. Both a good thing (more rally) and bad (held back from main game)).

Think i'll wait till it goes below £20. My (unofficial) brother in law likes these types of games and with his birthday coming up in August it's quite possible it may hit that price by then.

Bargain. ordered. Cheers OP

It's a great game. Purchased it for £28 on Amazon but well worth it even at that price.

I struggle with Gymkhana mode though.

Good price but terrible company they blocked my account because I complained that I hadn't received my order.

If you haven't got anything relevant to say then don't bother posting, my post was a genuine warning to anyone thinking of purchasing from this company.

I purchased two games from them and neither arrived so I emailed them about it got no response, then I complained on their twitter feed and they begrudging issued a refund, then when I tried to login into my account with them it said the account had been blocked.

OK, ill post something relevant for you, since you are obviously devoid of any sense of humour -

Ive used shopto ever since they started. Ive ordered dozens of times from them, usually a least a few times a month. Ive NEVER had a single problem with them with regards to orders, returns or their CS. As far as im concerned they are the best online game retailer there is and i know im not alone in that opinion. They always dispatch same day and send items free 1st class recorded which are delivered next day. Not to mention the other perks like loyality and recommendation redeem codes.

I dont know why you had a problem with them, but im sure you are only telling us half a story and you are definately in a very small minority.

BTW My copy of Dirt 3 arrived today after i ordered it yesterday afternoon - as usual with almost boring efficiency.

If you had just posted your experience in contrast to mine instead of being a jackass about it then it can benefit the community as a whole. Also just because its a negative review doesn't mean its somehow half a story and there are plenty of bad reviews about them not just mine all you need to do is use Google.

I would love to know what an unofficial brother in law is (compared to an official one). Do enlighten us...
