Local Costcutter selling 70cl Disaroono for £11.99, seems to be cheaper than supermarket prices..other spirits including Smirnoff also £11.99 but didn't look closely to see bottle size etc.
West Sussex; BN16 but may be nationwide.

Just checked and its 50cl at Waitrose not the 70cl....definitely the better deal if you can find it.

As a lover of Disaronno do not try other brands, they are not the same! Disaronno is the best :) It's only 5.99 for a reason! It's no where near the same smooth taste :)

Tesco have own brand one on offer 2 for £14 only £7 a bottle 70cl tastes just the same to me!
banned#11
Is it real or only suitable for the car screen wash tank for frosty mornings ?
#12
Great price.
The cheaper brands tend to have a lower percentage anything from 14% to the low twenties. Disaronno is 28% which is double that of the cheaper brands (Morrisons and Aldi for example) so with a deal like this it works out about the same or cheaper. As you could just dilute the Disaronno and get something akin to the cheap brands (they always taste weaker and not as nice imo) in both percentage and volume for your money

#14
It's advertised on their website so looks like it's national
#15
it was a misprint, it is a 50cl bottle
dont think they make them in 70cl do they?

since costcutter have the same deals as Nisa, local Nisa store had a disclaimer up

Ah right, they do make 70cl bottles though,

Thanks for the heads up about Nisa/Costcutter, didn't know they were the same. There is a Nisa much closer to me so will have a look in and see what the deal is

Very true, Steve. I find the cheaper versions require the ice to be left longer, but the taste isn't as nice.

As a long time Amaretto drinker, I like the Lidl own version. It might not be quite as smooth, but it's still very nice, particularly for the philistines who dilute it with mixers ;) And it's less than half the price of Disaronno brand. I think it's ridic to tell a person not to try a cheaper brand, they may well like it.

"Disaronno" was always just called amaretto until the company did their big advertising campaign a few yrs ago, it still grates on me when people calle it Disaronno now lol.

And ( :p ) I don't really think that anyone that puts ice in this lovely warming liqueur should be commenting. oO

It was definitely the 70cl size, they didn't sell any other size bottle, I double checked size and price before posting. I actually bought it so can confirm it was £11.99 for 70cl bottle.
#22
As someone has said Lidl do 70cl 28% amaretto for £9.99 all the time and it's the closest you can get to Disaronno. The Aldi one is cheaper but is 14.7% and not as good, worth paying a couple of quid more for the Lidl one.

Voted this hot though because excellent price for branded Disaronno.

Also £12 on Ocado at the moment (down from £15)

Was at £11 yesterday.

Your link is to the smaller 50cl bottle not the 70cl.

Good spot!

Expire. Costcutter website specifically states 50cl. Some people don't know their 50cl from their 70cl and their 1ltrs
#27
Offhistrolley- I am quite capable of reading a bottle label and it definitely says 70cl not 50cl... Please don't be offensive and expire an actual deal.
#28
Just travelled a few good miles to see this is actually a 500ml bottle and confirmed with the proprietor that no such deal exists.,, shame that I had already added heat prior to finding out the truth.. Can anyone advise if one can revert back !!!
#29
Never seen it this cheap! Hawt
#30
savvyB I'm sorry that this was the case and all I can say is that I purchased a 70cl bottle for £11.99 and this must have been an error on behalf of the shop keeper and was never intended to be misleading.
#31
I did post that this was possibly a local offer and did put a specific postcode.
#32
I checked my local costcutter on the way home and the only bottles they had were priced at £14.99. I would guess that the OP got lucky and the store mispriced the 70cl thinking it was the 50cl prehaps...
#33
I've expired this as it appears unfortunately (or fortunately for me) this was an accidental pricing error from my local costcutter and not one accessible for all so apologises for any confusion caused.
#34
The only acceptable mixer with amaretto is freshly squeezed lemon/lime. End of
